It is not what you do directly to your enemy that harms him, but his subsequent reactions. If your enemy is narcissistic, he will obsess and keep harming himself for years.

This excerpt from the article gives some highlights. “Nominally, Hertz aims to make money on selling its used rental cars after they accumulate a certain mileage. At least, it has generally made money in the past via this business model with internal-combustion vehicles. But the same has not been true for used EVs. The culprits, once again, have been high maintenance costs and depreciation of EVs it has purchased for its fleets, while on the consumer side the EV charging experience has seen its own issues.” Utilization of EVs has been low for Hertz which also affects profitability. Many travelers don’t want the uncertainty or risk of finding places to recharge in unfamiliar territory.

So does a new car mfg have the same model issues like a rental car company? Also, I’m not clear the issue here…is the article saying Hertz has experienced more complications than an ICE car fleet, or simply that it’s more costly to have EV’s than ICE’s, and they’re just not the same economics despite being the same as their fleet is concerned?

Dealers aren’t anti-EV. They’re anti-losing-money. If selling most EVs were profitable, every rooftop in America would be all-in tomorrow.

State Farm Insurance EXPOSED “In 2021, I was working as an insurance adjuster for State Farm, and they specifically told us not to pay for any roof replacements. We can only pay for repairs. So you're talking about over 200 adjusters working 2-5 claims a day, being told, Don't buy a single roof” This is literally fraud

As an 18 year State Farm agent currently assisting policyholders with July 3,2025 hail storm claims, rest assured that there are complete roof replacements being approved. Multiple State Farm claims management personnel and adjusters have told me their marching orders “find a way to pay”.
