I think I first met Alan Yentob when he came over from the BBC to interview me for an episode of ARENA titled “I Thought I Was Taller: A Short History of Mel Brooks” around 1980. He was so bright and warm and engaging, I immediately knew I had found an important friend. From that day to the day he died, he was in my life and I was in his. When my wife Anne died and I was lost in a sea of misery he kept me afloat with his love and never-failing good humor. Impossible to think he won’t be calling me tomorrow.

I understand the concept of “gerrymandering”… districts comprised of, at times, individual streets, if not houses. The evidence of it is comical. I propose we go to grid based voting districts in exchange for a COMPLETELY logical voter ID system.
