The purpose of our immigration system is to benefit the American people. That’s the only reason it exists. If immigration from any region of the globe is economically destructive - or harmful in any way - it should be completely eliminated.

President Trump is sacrificing so much to Make America Great Again. The radicalized left wants him dead, and are being emboldened to take violent action by rhetoric peddled by Democrat “leaders”. The rampant political violence against Republicans since President Trump took office in 2017 has been beyond alarming, and in some cases has cost the lives of great Americans.

The decision was pretty straightforward to finalize the largest act of deregulation in U.S. history, rescinding the 2009 Obama EPA Endangerment Finding, all Greenhouse Gas Emissions Standards on vehicles that followed, and all off-cycle credits including for the almost universally despised start-stop feature that makes your car die at every red light and stop sign. It was about objectively following the best reading of Section 202 of the Clean Air Act and adhering to the U.S. Supreme Court cases of Loper Bright and West Virginia v. EPA. I’m going to continue to rein in regulatory overreach across the EPA every day I’m serving as Administrator.

Derek Chauvin was put on trial in the midst of hysteria, with media and riots sending a message to judge and jury - you better find him guilty, or we’re coming for you. Putting Doug Mackey in Brooklyn, dragging him up from Florida, was also designed to get a guilty verdict - it was assumed judge and jury would not appreciate his jokes there. Let’s take a step back. Jury trials are always subject to political pressure. In the Salem Witch Trials in Massachusetts in the 1600s, they admitted ‘spectral evidence.’ Meaning - alleged victims of the ‘witches’ could testify to dreams they had, where the supposed ‘witch’ did them some kind of harm. In a f*cking dream that could never be corroborated. This was a way of relaxing the rules, ensuring a guilty verdict - to dampen the ongoing hysteria and appease the fanatics, and enable some people to take out other members of the community they didn’t like. In fractious, unstable societies this is what you get. Not fair play, but deliberate rigging of systems to assert power. In this kind of environment, grand terms like ‘our democracy’ or ‘our system of justice’ should be viewed cynically. It’s people looking for outcomes, and using terms from a supposedly storied tradition to hide their motives. And in this kind of situation you better try to rig things if you want to win - because if you don’t the other side will. This is how the right should view things like indictments of Comey after the left spent years trying to jail and bankrupt Trump, disbar conservative lawyers, and destroy the lives of people who merely entered the Capitol building on J6 with security holding the doors open for them.
