@FamilyRightsGp @Jeremy_Hunt It will probably get worse. So many children are going back into care from Adoption and Special Guardianship where harms come from OUTSIDE the family. This says something is seriously wrong.

@FamilyRightsGp @Jeremy_Hunt The other reason the figure for children in care is so high is because local authorities are not returning them to their families when parents have made significant improvements to their lives. They take them permanently and destroy families.

LA’s & Councils need to get their acts together 😡
They remove children from first families, their CSC teams are these children’s corporate parents,THEY place some children in good enough children’s homes & then their planning departments allow this sort of discrimination 😡

After 16 months immersed in it, masters thesis is done. Primary research on Section 17 of the 1989 Children Act and its family support intent, 34 years on. Loved every minute of it and lots learned from it. Thanks to all those @ADCStweets members who participated in the study.
