There's a specific role in the test team for a batting all-rounder who bowls seam, there's no one better than Wiaan Mulder. Before i get crucified, name someone to replace him. Mpongwana hasn't delivered with the bat in red ball cricket. Jason Smith doesn't bowl anymore.

The 1st cricket team beat KES by six wickets at the St John's T20 Festival on Saturday. KES made 154/7, Cannon and Stafa took two wickets each. Jeppe reached 156/4 in the 17th over. Jaydon Brooker made 68 off 41 balls and Kaleb Burger was 47 not out.

Like everyone I'm pretty despondent about the state of the Proteas but all is certainly not lost, we still have the talent - look at the young guys coming through (Rickelton, Brevis, Hermann, Roelofsen, TDZ etc), and SA is providing the biggest foreign contingent to the 2023 IPL
