We examined blood samples at birth for clonal hematopoiesis (CH) associated with fetal Zidovudine exposure. Our results suggest CH at levels detectable in our study is not strongly influenced by in utero ZDV exposure. @SHUHONGLIN @EricEngelsMD #NCI_ITEB journals.lww.com/aidsonline/Abs…

@elonmusk There are two major types of qPCR. SYBR green and TaqMan. SYBR Green has one pair of primer while TaqMan comes with an additional probe which dramatically increases specificity. If the lab you talked to use the TaqMan assay designed by WHO, there shouldn’t be false positivity.

Lab I just spoke to said cov2 PCR detection (N1 & N3 genes) below 30 cycles is reliable & above 40 cycles is not

What is the general population (no knowledge of symptoms) accuracy of a sars-cov2 PCR test & is it possible to generate a false positive if you simply run enough cycles?
