Detroit and Boston, the top two seeds in the East, were better last year. By a lot.
Meanwhile, the Knicks did a classic rope-a-dope during the regular season. They may be the third seed but they’re the class of the conference.

Embiid was a -25 and shot 42%. He took 7 more shots than the next closest teammate.
The game was over the minute Embiid was cleared to play. He slows down the entire flow of the game style that VJ/Maxey thrive in.
I get it though, you guys still think Embiid is good enough to get you a title, even though he’s never even been out of the 2nd round. It’s a tough pill to swallow

Two interesting developments in the East. 1). Atlanta essentially chose the Knicks over the Cavs as a first round opponent by sitting their starters and 2). Boston’s bench (and culture) played their way into a likely first round matchup with Maxey with a seemingly depleted Derrick White by beating Orlando tonight
