@user17386714 the vote at the festival is explicitly for a king and a queen, and the story directly calls out that this is exclusionary to both noelle and susie as a lesbian couple, and kris as someone who is non binary

i feel like chapter 5 in particular brings up a lot of ways in which kris is comfortable exploring femininity in the dark world in ways we dont see in the light world. i suppose kris is androgynous normally, but it feels like things asriel would wear too. it paints a picture-
