Utpal Sheth 🔥
Numbers guy who backed Rakesh Jhunjhunwala into Praj Industries RJ Was Not convinced & Refused big bets.
Sheth, convinced of the ethanol/biofuel play and Praj's dominance in brewery equipment.
Pushed RJ into the investment & RJ reluctantly agreed.
Entered Near ₹100
Soon Crashed to ₹75
Utpal Sheth doubled down with full conviction.
Praj Industries then went on a historic run touching ₹5000 - 50x Returns. 🔥
He was a conviction investor in his own right

@growth_edge_ First switch to Direct Growth plans. Why to give free lunch to the broker when you're a DIY investor!

@BaluGorade In simple term, CAGR from a larger AUM mutual fund will closely mimic the index return!

@BaluGorade AI is massively expanding the market for traditional IT companies. Also, nimble IT companies are increasingly adopting AI in their daily operations.
Excellent IT names are trading at an attractive valuations. Long term investors just need to SIP buy them & wait patiently.
English

Rajeev Thakkar on Indian IT services & AI:
People are saying AI will replace developers and there may not be enough work in future.
But his view is different.
Even if AI helps 5 developers do the work of 10, costs will fall for clients.
And when something becomes cheaper, demand usually goes up.
Discount brokers did that in investing.
Mobile phones did that in communication.
This is called Jevons Paradox.
So AI may reduce costs, improve productivity and still create more demand for IT services.
But the thesis needs constant re-evaluation. What looks cheap today can still become a value trap later.
PPFAS currently has around 8% IT exposure through HCL, Infosys and TCS.
Do you have any contra view?

@ByRakeshSimha ✓ Ban Polygamy
✓ Secure the Bangladesh border to stop Infiltration
✓ Implement Uniform Civil Code (UCC)
✓ Eliminate political elements that espouse demography changes in guise of secularism
This is also a matter of national security! We can't ignore it.

Himanta Biswa Sarma: "I cannot stop Assam from becoming a Muslim majority state; I can only delay it for the next generation."
The history of India shows that once an area turned Muslim majority, it became a permanent part of the ummah. Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh used to be Hindu+Buddhist majority provinces of India but are now jehadi countries where non Muslims have zero rights.
India cannot afford to tie its destiny to demography because imported foreign ideologies are determined to supplant the indigenous religions of India and take control of the country via population growth.
India should be declared a Hindu Rashtra and the followers of indigenous religions should have priority in all walks of life. This is quite normal in many parts of the world. In Malaysia, Muslim Bhumiputras get preferential treatment over Tamil Hindus and Chinese. In all 57 Muslim countries, the indigenous Muslims are the sole beneficiaries while the non Muslims have Dhimmi status. India should follow the same model.
The concept of "One Person, One Vote" is dangerous not just for India but for every democratic country in the world because most people are not informed enough to vote. Plus, people with Leftist views vote to help Islamists gain power.
Democracy may seem like fun when tolerant groups like Hindus in India and Agnostic Whites in Western countries are the majority. But it is due to democracy that Islamists are able to create Sharia Zones where democracy does not operate. And Sharia Zones don't shrink; they expand outward. Himanta Biswa Sarma admits that he cannot stop Assam from becoming a Muslim majority state; he can only delay it for another generation. What happens to Assam Hindus then? Will they have to live like Dhimmis? Or flee like Kashmiri Hindus?
Kashmir is a stark example of what happens to Hindus in a Muslim majority region. The presence of the Indian Army couldn't prevent the expulsion of the 3% Hindu minority. In fact, the Kashmiri Muslims did not even factor the Indian Army in their calculations while expelling the Hindus. They knew there would be no consequences for genocide.
A Hindu living in democratic India is like a frog placed in a pot of water on the stove. Initially, as the temperature rises it feels nice and warm. But as the water starts boiling, the frog can no longer get out to safety.

@BJP4India Since long, UDF and LDF are busy playing musical chair, forgetting about the real developments for Keralam.
This state has every resources to dominate India's industrial landscape: high literacy, skilled workforces, water & electricity. It's time for #BJP to uproot UDF and LDF.
English

You may remember that just 10 years ago, we had only 3 MLAs in Bengal.
But today, there is a BJP government there with more than 200 MLAs.
In Kerala too, we have now gone from 1 to 3 MLAs.
Now the day is not far when the BJP-NDA’s numbers in Kerala will rise from 3 and cross the majority mark.

@dmuthuk When it's about politics, people should judge leaders by their profession only, not by their personal identities.
Rahul Gandhi may be a good human being in his personal life, but he is devoid of political acumen & leadership qualities in his professional life. That's it.
English

Not going to share any personal details. Just want to highlight how perception is different from reality. This is not to support any political party or leader. Want to let you know things are not as they look.
In 2013, my client who was professionally working for Rahul Gandhi suggested my name to him to handle his mutual fund investments.
From 2013, when UPA 2 was in power to till date when Vijay was sworn in with Congress support, Rahul continues to be my client for mutual fund investments.
We have exchanged many mails and has spoken over phone lot of times. And as you are aware, I've been a strong Modi supporter from 2014 to 2024. Never once Rahul or his office staff brought that subject to me. I believe my tweets are regularly seen by his staff. They clearly differentiate between my professional service and political beliefs.
And in every single conversation I've with Rahul, he addresses me with respect and never behaved in any haughty manner.
Despite knowing my BJP support, he took my input few years ago for choosing a key professional .
This post may lead to Rahul terminating our professional relationship. That's ok. Everything should end one day.
Wanted to post this to show how main stream media and IT cells of parties can make someone look completely inhuman.
I do not know Rahul Gandhi as a politician. Based on last 14 years interaction, all I can say is he respect professionals a lot and a nice human being to interact with.
Don't go by media or IT cells - for any party that matter.

@tushar9590 This is how rich farmers create generational wealth:
◻️Farmers get highly subsidised Urea from Govt.
◻️Then they sell agricultural products at market rates & earn crores.
◻️💯% income is Tax free.
No wonder why we see so many farmers with lavish bungalows, Thars & Fortuners!

@BaluGorade Sedentary lifestyle, growing incomes and crumbling health-infrastructures in Govt hospitals have directly added to the boom of Private hospital chains in India.
That's why healthcare sector is now valued at par the consumption sector by these venture capitalists.
English

India's biggest hospitals are heavily owned by foreign investors:
Apollo Hospitals - 43%
(Vanguard, GQG, Govt of Singapore)
Max Healthcare - 45%
(KKR, Partners Group)
Healthcare Global - 60%
(CVC Capital)
Fortis Healthcare - 57%
(IHH Healthcare, Malaysia)
CARE Hospitals - 73%
(Blackstone)
Manipal Hospitals - 59%
(Temasek, TPG)
You go there for treatment.
Global investors see a massive healthcare business opportunity in India.
English

@BaluGorade Also, Large cap active funds mandatorily need to invest 80% in large cap stocks only, whereas for Mid and Small Cap funds, it's just 65%.
That's why apart from vast investible stocks, Mid & Small cap fund managers have the leeway to invest balance 35% in other asset classes.
English

1] Large caps have a universe of just 100 stocks.
That's why I would pick an index fund over an active large cap fund any day.
2] Flexi Cap and Multi Cap funds have a much wider universe of 500 stocks, giving fund managers far more opportunities.
3] Mid caps have a universe of around 150 stocks, but many companies are from new age sectors and growing rapidly.
4] Small caps have 250 stocks, and fund managers can also allocate 35% outside the category.
So the investable universe in small caps is actually bigger than large caps and mid caps.
Which mutual fund category is your favourite?

@InvestRepeat BJP desperately needed to win Bengal. It was a matter of national security.
✓ Chicken neck (Siliguri Corridor) is in close proximity to China. Cut it & the whole North-east is gone.
✓ Infiltration from Bangladesh: real threat to national security.
English

Seems like West Bengal for some reason is really important for BJP and interestingly popular globally as well.
> Modi & Shah both personally going there to attend Suvendu Adhikari ji’s oath ceremony.
> Multiple central ministries & state CMs going there as well.
> Other countries congratulating Modi for winning in Bengal. Rarely happens when he wins other states.
> Even Trump congratulating him. Probably first time he did this for an Indian state election.
English

@SiddharthKG7 He is Shri Makhanlal Sarkar, a staunch Sanatan supporter and close aide of Late Shyama Prasad Mookerjee. We can understand his emotion and happiness as he waited for this heartwarming moment for decades!
English

He is a dedicated worker of BJP.
He never changed his party.
He went to J&K with Shri Shyama Prasad ji and his leader lost his life there.
Those eyes saw division of Bengal. Those ears heard news of Netaji’s plane crash.
He saw Congress Govt there in his state. Then he saw Naxalism. He saw Communist takeover of Bengal & one of the longest rule of Communists anywhere in world. He saw Emergency.
He saw his land getting deindustrialised and his Kolkata losing on development bit by bit. He saw TMC rule. He saw increasing Bangladeshis in his countryside.
Cannot even imagine what all he saw in his entire life. Ramjanambhoomi Movement, BJP’s ascendancy, Modi’s rise, Modi’s PM oath, and now finally, BJP Govt in his own state at the age of 98.
Such a fine moment that India’s PM hugged you in gratitude to have faith in an ideology for so so long under all adversities.
Maybe we will never understand what all he is feeling inside him. There must be hundreds of his friends who could not see this day and how he must be remembering them all on this day. ♥️

@Angelye8qg Window type ACs are the most robust ones and also require less maintenance as compared to split ACs. People who do not live in rented houses should go for window ACs.
Gas leakage is a perennial problem in any Split AC and is a costly affair.
English

This poor family is standing under the scorching sun with a DAIKIN AC, alleging that they have been cheated.
They say they purchased a DAIKIN AC from a showroom for around ₹39,000, and were assured of a 5-year warranty at the time of purchase.
However, within just one and a half years, the AC stopped working and started leaking water.
When they approached the showroom, they were told to contact customer care.
Customer care informed them that the warranty was only for 1 year, which has now expired.
Now, they are being asked to pay ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 for repairs.
The family says that after spending ₹40,000 on the AC, how can they afford such heavy repair costs every year?
They allege that the showroom falsely promised a 5-year warranty and misled them into buying this expensive AC.

@BapuBommaSpeaks She doesn't love wealth, but she is fond of power: people acting like her servants and top brass of administration toadying to whatever she says.

@EquityValueIn Post demerger of its specialty pharma business few years ago, #Aarti Industries is now predominantly an agrochemical business with lots of cyclicality.
#NavinFluorine #Acutaas etc are much better choices due to their diversification to API and CDMO segments.

@sheela2010 @MamataOfficial INDI Alliance is finding itself redundant with archaic political strategies on caste, creed, religion and hatred.
Today's India wants economic development, literacy, job and prosperity. Those leaders who understand these aspirations of public are getting democratically elected.
English

It’s not shocking or surprising that @MamataOfficial has refused to resign after losing election.
Goes with her brand of politics that we are knowing well.
This kind of results would impact anyone deeply.
Only problem in this unfolding event is that Didi is breaking a wonderful tradition set in India where transfer of power from one party to another is smooth, always.
The provisions of Indian Constitution will take care of the situation.
Let’s see how much the leaders of INDIA alliance extends support to her unconventional political move.
Under no circumstances INDIA alliance should be looking like supporting anarchism.
Its cost will be too high to pay.
Why give unnecessary advantage to BJP/NDA?

English

@IndiaToday Even Indian Muslims are now realising that:
✓ @INCIndia is using them only for vote bank politics.
✓ @BJP4India's fight is against infiltrators only, not Indian Muslims.
✓ Economic development of India means their prosperity too.
✓ Polygamy, bigotry are curses for society.
English

Has #Congress become the new #MuslimLeague?
The Congress won 21 of the 390 seats it contested in #Assam and West Bengal. Of the 21 winners, 20 are Muslims. The party, which attacks the BJP as communal, is getting caught in its own trap. And the warning came from within Congress way back in 2014.
