2024 Sports in Kansas 6A Offensive Player of the Year, All-Classes Offensive Player of the Year Bravin Powell of Gardner Edgerton Powell led GE to back to back titles in 6A and is now 2-1 in state title games as a starting QB. He combined for 43 TDs and 2,289 yards of offense this season. He had three rushing TDs and two passing TDs in the championship win over Manhattan in the title game. Powell was also named Top 11 from Sports in Kansas. #sportsinkansas

Reigning Kansas 6A State Football Champs Gardner Edgerton will take on the Manhattan High Indians at 2 PM on Friday in the state football title game. Bravin Powell of Gardner-Edgerton is a name to watch this season. Powell helped lead the Trailblazers to their first ever state championship (6A) last year after being runner up in 2022. The 2025 ATH had 15 passing TDS to go with 19 rushing. Adding over 2,000 total yards. The SIK All-State Non-Senior said, “Coach O (Jesse Owens) came in and changed the culture of this program.
