Anas Sarwar's big mistake was making his attack on Reform personal. Malcolm Offord isn't a career politician. His reaction was unpredictable. Sarwar's desperation got the better of him. He used ill-advised extreme language against Offord who snapped. Sarwar's habit of saying things without thinking reared its head at the wrong time. He did it on live TV during an election debate. This one couldn't be shut down and contained.

🥀 - The desperate circling of the wagons around Sarwar by his media buddies shows they know what a devastating blow the revelation that he approached Reform for a deal is. It shouldn’t surprise anyone, Labour already work informally with Reform in Fife Council against the SNP.

Another outrageously misleading headline from the BBC. The hospital in question is in England. That crucial fact should be prominent in the headline. By leaving it out the BBC is inviting folk to infer it's a Scottish hospital at the centre of police probes.

One of the tools used by BBC Scotland in order to suppress a story damaging to Scottish Labour is refusing to assign any reporter to it. Foysol Choudhary, Colin Smyth, Starmer's attack on devolution, Sarwar's friendship with Mandelson, his stroke 'joke', his Glasgow fire comments that were condemned by the Scottish Fire Service. Reporters are stood down whenever these stories appear. We wonder what the reporters themselves think is happening? Do they question the lack of interest in such stories? Do they acknowledge, even to themselves, what's going on?
