@defyneric A middle ground could be sub cards linked to a main card. Let users instantly generate and delete card numbers, set spending limits, merchant locks, or single-use mode without issuing a brand new card each time. Similar privacy benefits while keeping issuer costs much lower.

the most requested feature i see across neobanks is one-time virtual cards. the reason they aren't everywhere yet is pretty simple: most issuers charge around $1-2 every time a virtual card is created, which gets expensive fast when every card is designed to only be used only once. would love to see companies like @raincards or other major issuers make an exception here. one-time cards would make private payments a lot easier for us crypto folks.

A startup called Span builds them, backed by Nvidia. They bolt onto your home and you get paid for the power and Wi-Fi. Some estimates put that around $1,000 a month in your pocket. That is rent money just for hosting a box outside. Span says it deploys way faster and cheaper than a real data center. The AI boom is literally moving into the suburbs. Most api are well documented until you try to build something real with it. That’s when the gaps show up. Docs should not just explain endpoints, they should show outcomes. Real recipes and small demo apps should be a norm.
