FACT: Over $30 billion in federal Medicaid funding is at risk due to H.R. 1. That could lead to 400,000 Californians being dropped from coverage and an increase of more than $125 in monthly coverage costs. #SOTU2026

FACT: Last April, California filed a lawsuit to challenge the tariffs that have caused significant hardship to California businesses and consumers. Last week, SCOTUS ruled that the president had no authority to impose these tariffs. #SOTU2026

FACT: California has fought this federal administration over devastating freezes that directly support children and families. The potential loss could be more than $5 billion. While the courts temporarily blocked those freezes, CA remains a target for this White House. #SOTU2026

FACT: The reality is, California cannot fill the gaps in funding left by the federal government and the impacts of H.R. 1. The Golden State provides over $83 billion more than we receive – and this administration is only widening that gap. #SOTU2026
