What dead app would you like someone to rebuild?

I missed Mailbox, so I built it ✨

@davidfrum [person I don't like] did something *which might have* [insert one possible outcome within a large spectrum of potential outcomes which paints the person I don't like as a villain with no moral character]. (No probability distribution assigned to listed outcome or other outcomes)

@cvaldary @Cobratate Who is the guy interview Tate? Like this guy but don’t know him.

@chuckdegroat The best way to "reduce the wobbliness" is to acknowledge that there is no ladder. Everyone is grounded.

@Sumansiva @breakfastbybill Fun to hear from you two! Love the project. Excited to stay tuned.

@Sumansiva @gregisenberg I think it’s more a rate of change issue. We’ve never had this much disruption occur this rapidly. New jobs emerged after past disruptions but over a longer time horizon. Don’t think that new jobs will be able to emerge at the rate of them being taken away.
English

@gregisenberg Just read this thread. You can’t actually believe that all 85% of these writers will be fine.
The rejoice thing is ridiculous. This will happen en masse and tons of people will lose their jobs.
The whole “new jobs will emerge argument” does not hold water IMO given scale.

@charlesmurray “1000 [boys] raised by a single mother” … dang, that woman should get mother of the year no matter what happens to those 1000 boys
English

It is an interesting question. Obviously, it has to be rephrased: In a comparison of outcomes for 1000 boys raised by two lesbian mothers and 1000 raised by a single mother, which group would have better outcomes (to be defined)? I have no idea what the answer would be. Truly.
Ghost46@MutaCimex
@charlesmurray This is off topic however: I am an A Level sociology student and we have been studying some of your work in my class I am curious to your opinion on a question we thought of: Would you rather a male child be raised by two lesbian mothers or a single mother?

For the believer, prayer isn’t a substitute for action, it’s a prerequisite for action. It grounds us before we serve others. It grounds us before we speak in the public square. Prayer helps us grieve, prayer helps us hope, and prayer helps us act: nytimes.com/2023/03/29/opi…

@LauraRbnsn We tend to be in sin management (self-focused) or sin tracking (others focused) mode most of the time instead of living out of an abundance of grace. We misunderstand grace and don't let the gift of grace penetrate to an emotional level.
English

@ahc How to feel emotions (diff than expressing emotions).
When disobeying rules is acceptable/wise and where to draw that line.
Developing an opinion on what activity it would like to engage in (i.e. whether it wants to play chess or create art).
English

@Sumansiva Agreed. No sense in trying to keep it out of the classroom for fear of cheating. Reframe everything as a skill for how to use AI to build and understand more deeply.

@sentdefender Anyone find it interesting that UFO and UFC are very similar? How deep does this go?!?
