@SOURJAZZ @CoolOldSwag @Rbantam ...so with Bowie it's remained fixed as Lodger. I'm not as much a fan as some, though, there are a few albums that have never stuck with me.

You can learn alot about someone by asking what their favorite Bowie LP is…

@dobro_the @CoolOldSwag @Rbantam There are albums that I reach for more often than others, but even then, they’re all part of an artist’s career arch, and I always find that really interesting. Especially The Clash or Bowie.

@SOURJAZZ @CoolOldSwag @Rbantam I'm the same, but I definitely have some favourites with certain acts. With The Clash, Al Green, Dylan or Husker Du (as examples) it constantly shifts, though.

@dobro_the @CoolOldSwag @Rbantam I understand sentimental reasoning, but I can’t compare Bowie albums. They’re all completely different from each other. I try to appreciate all works of art – including music – on their individual merit, without comparison or competition.

@SOURJAZZ @CoolOldSwag @Rbantam I normally can't - it's constantly changing - but my favourite Bowie album has always been Lodger. That might be because it was the first one I bought with my own money and it wasn't what I expected.

@Rbantam True. Hunky Dory was the first one I bought transitioning out of the proverbial 1970's suburban Kiss worship after the head-scratching Dynasty. And Hunky Dory will always be my favorite.
