@SPFL_Future @SPFLWatch Split does have it's benefits, you were fighting relegation, last thing you need is match against OF, whilst teams near you possibly have 'easier' matches.

I've argued for & against countless reconstruction ideas.
Whether it be 10/12/14/16/18/20 teams in the Prem.
2 things are clear to me:
1️⃣ We NEED change.
2️⃣ We NEED a simple format, that doesn't involve any split.
❌ 12/14/16 does not work well.
✅ 18/20 is the way forward.

@SPFLWatch I obviously understand it.
But the average football fan outside of Scotland isn't going to put any effort into learning how it works.
It's just another reason to put potential interest off.
No comment on the unfair number of home & away games or playing each other 4 times

@SPFLWatch @sean_r1tch1e Also, you don't comment on the main point about a random number of home and away games being unfair.
An absolute basic basis of a league should be that each team plays the same number of home games and the same number of away games against each other. Symmetrical. Not random

@SPFLWatch @sean_r1tch1e If you want something to be accepted by the masses and gain as much interest as possible, then it has to be very easy to follow.
So easy that a moron could follow it.
Each team playing home and away is as basic and easy to follow as it gets.
That's successful.

Neutrals see it as a joke.
When you see the league table on Sky Sports news or other media outlets, the table isn't represented as 2 split leagues, it's shown as 1 league with no indication of a split.

@andrewmcgurn03 Yes you're right, everyone loves watching their team play the same teams 500 times per season. It's so exciting, knowing that if your team doesn't beat another team, you'll have another 5 or 6 times to beat them that season.
Sky love it. That's why they broadcast so many games.

What is with folks obsession with restructuring the leagues, the top 4 flights of the pyramid are perfect and keep every team having excitement for the whole season every season

@SPFL_Future I would go for a top league of 16 a championship of 10 and everything under that a regional pyramid system. We just don’t have the teams for anything else. Livingston have 500 fans ffs and they are in the premiership.
