In a manpower intensive force, promotions play a significant role to keep the morale of the team high. In 2024, a historic 7003 promotions were given in Gujarat Police while this year, already 8098 promotions have been effected. This includes officers from the rank of Police Constables to Police Inspectors. Best wishes to all of them and their family members.

I will spend two days visiting and staying in villages along the India–Pakistan border Tomorrow, I will begin a two-day visit to villages in Lakhpat, Kutch along the India-Pakistan border. 30 senior IPS officers will join this visit - each officer allotted two villages for focused review and direct interaction with citizens. We will meet sarpanches, women, youth and frontline teams to assess: •Safety & security •Education •Infrastructure & sanitation •Health I will also stay overnight in a traditional bhunga to experience village life closely. All officers will stay in the villages as well - not in circuit houses or hotels - to understand real ground realities. Strengthening border communities.
