I hope the following points were noted for further action: 1. *Inadequate drainage capacity*: The Naala remains full even on non-rainy days, which indicates that the sewage drains to the STP and downstream are inadequate. This issue needs to be taken up with HMWSSB. 2. *Undersized lake inlet*: The inlet to Durgam Cheruvu Lake is very small, causing instant inundation along the Durgam Cheruvu Naala that extends up to the Hitech City main road and beyond. Even one heavy rain floods the roads near this Naala. The inlet size must be increased to match the full width of the Naala so that stormwater flows into the lake quickly without stagnating in the Naala and surrounding areas. 3. *Sewage stagnation and odor*: You must have noticed the foul smell, which is due to sewage stagnation. The drain walls are damaged, causing sewage to overflow. This creates a bad odor for nearby residents and visitors to the lake. This is to be taken up by SNDP or CMC. Dear Sir, Nice to see you with other officers at the I&D Unit, STP. The meeting conveners should have involved HMWSSB at this site. The inundation in Durgam Cheruvu Naala and on the main roads crossing this sewage-cum-stormwater drain is mainly due to the undersized inlet of the lake. This inlet, constructed and maintained by HMWSSB, has been the cause of sudden inundation in and around the area for the last many years. Few people are aware of this fact because the I&D Unit of the STP is located in a remote area and is managed by some unskilled workers. The best solution now is to widen the small rectangular inlet to match the width of the Naala. This will allow stormwater to flow into the lake quickly and prevent inundation in and around the Naala and on the roads of Madhapur.

@MC_Cyberabad Request for Immediate Desilting & Strengthening of Durgam Cheruvu Naala before Monsoon* Respected officers I sincerely appreciate the proactive steps taken for desilting and strengthening of nalas before the monsoon season. This will greatly help in preventing waterlogging and flooding in our area. Durgam Cheruvu Naala is 100% suitable and critical to be taken up on priority. Sludge and silt frequently accumulate in this nala due to high flow from surrounding residential/commercial areas. If not cleared regularly, it chokes the flow and pollutes Durgam Cheruvu Lake, which is a major water body and ecosystem for the locality. Further, the walls of this Durgam Cheruvu Naala are weak and eroded at multiple stretches. There is an urgent need for strengthening/retaining wall work to prevent breaches during heavy rains and to ensure long-term stability. Thank you for your consideration. -ఐటీ కారిడార్‌కు వ‌ర‌ద ముప్పు త‌ప్పిద్దాం -15 రోజులలో స‌మ‌స్య‌లు ప‌రిష్కారానికి ప్ర‌ణాళిక‌లు -సీఎంసీ ప‌రిధిలోని అధికారుల‌తో స‌మీక్షించిన హైడ్రా క‌మిష‌న‌ర్‌ ❇️ట్రాఫిక్ ర‌ద్దీ ఎక్కువ‌గా ఉండే ఐటీ కారిడార్‌కు వ‌ర‌ద ముప్పు తోడ‌వ్వ‌కుండా జాగ్ర‌త్త‌లు తీసుకుందామ‌ని హైడ్రా క‌మిష‌న‌ర్ శ్రీ ఏవీ రంగ‌నాథ్ గారు సూచించారు. వ‌ర్షాకాలంలో ర‌హ‌దారుల‌పై ఏమాత్రం నీరు నిలిచినా తీవ్ర‌మైన ట్రాఫిక్ ఇబ్బందులు త‌లెత్తుతాయ‌ని అన్నారు. వ‌ర్షాకాల స‌న్న‌ద్ధ‌త‌పై సీఎంసీ (సైబ‌రాబాద్ మున్సిప‌ల్ కార్పొరేష‌న్) ప‌రిధిలోని సంబంధిత శాఖ‌ల అధికారుల‌తో హైడ్రా క‌మిష‌న‌ర్ శ్రీ ఏవీ రంగ‌నాథ్ గారు, సీఎంసీ క‌మిస‌న‌ర్ శ్రీ‌మ‌తి సృజ‌న గారు సంయుక్తంగా సోమ‌వారం హైడ్రా కార్యాల‌యంలో స‌మీక్షించారు. సీఎంసీ ప‌రిధిలో మొత్తం 202 వాటర్ లాగింగ్ పాయింట్లుంటే.. అందులో 83 మేజ‌ర్‌, 95 మీడియం, 24 మైన‌ర్ ప్రాబ్లం ఉన్న ప్రాంతాలుగా గుర్తించారు. 15 రోజుల్లో ఈ స‌మ‌స్య‌లు ప‌రిష్క‌రించ‌డానికి అన్ని శాఖ‌లు స‌మ‌న్వ‌యంతో ప‌ని చేయాల‌ని హైడ్రా క‌మిష‌న‌ర్ శ్రీ రంగ‌నాథ్ గారు ఆదేశించారు. ఎక్క‌డైనా ఇబ్బంది ఉంటే సంబంధిత శాఖ‌ల అనుమ‌తుల కోసం లేఖ‌లు రాసామ‌ని స‌రిపుచ్చ‌వ‌ద్ద‌న్నారు. ఆ స‌మ‌స్య‌ల ప‌రిష్కారానికి తీసుకోవాల్సిన చ‌ర్య‌ల‌పై సంబంధిత ఉన్న‌తాధికారుల దృష్టికి తీసుకురావాల‌న్నారు. వ‌ర‌ద కాలువ‌ల్లో పూడిక‌ను తొల‌గించే ప‌నుల‌కు ప్ర‌థ‌మ ప్రాధాన్యాన్నివ్వాల‌న్నారు. గాలి వాన‌కు ప‌డిపోయే ప్ర‌మాద‌మున్న చెట్ల‌ను ముందుగానే గుర్తించి గ్రూమిగ్ చేయాల‌న్నారు. మ్యాన్‌హోల్స్ మూత‌లు ఎక్క‌డ ఉన్నాయ‌నేది స్ప‌ష్టంగా అర్థ‌మ‌య్యేలా మ్యాపింగ్ చేయాల‌ని సూచించారు. ఎస్ ఎం ఎస్ అల‌ర్ట్స్ ద్వ‌రా భారీ వ‌ర్షాల స‌మాచారాన్నివ్వ‌డ‌మే కాదు.. వ‌ర‌ద ముప్పు ఉన్న దారుల గురించి.. ప్ర‌త్యామ్నాయ మార్గాల‌ను సూచించ‌డం చేయాల‌ని హైడ్రా క‌మిష‌న‌ర్ తెలిపారు. అంత‌కు ముందు మేజ‌ర్ వాట‌ర్‌లాగింగ్ పాయింట్ల‌ను ప‌వ‌ర్‌పాయింట్ ప్ర‌జెంటేష‌న్ ద్వారా హైడ్రా అద‌న‌పు క‌మిష‌న‌ర్ శ్రీ వ‌ర్ల పాప‌య్య గారు వివ‌రించారు. అలాగే మెట్ టీమ్స్, డీఆర్ ఎఫ్ బృందాల ప‌నితీరును తెలిపారు. -30 చెరువుల‌కు స్లూయ‌జ్‌గేట్లు.. ❇️సీఎంసీ ప‌రిధిలో వ‌ర‌ద నీరు పెద్ద‌మొత్తంలో చేరే దుర్గం చెరువు, ఖాజాగూడ చెరువు, మ‌ల్కం చెరువు ఇలా 30 చెరువులున్నాయ‌ని.. వీటికి స్లూయ‌జ్ గేట్ల‌ను ఏర్పాటు చేయాల్సిన‌వ‌స‌ర‌ముంద‌ని స‌మీక్ష స‌మావేశం నిర్ణ‌యించింది. చెరువుల‌ను ఖాళీ చేసి ఉంచితే వ‌ర్షం నీరు సాఫీగా చేరి వ‌ర‌ద పోటెత్తే ప్ర‌మాదం త‌గ్గుతుంద‌ని అధికారులు భావించారు. ఆర్‌యూబీల వ‌ద్ద ఏర్పాటు చేసిన పంపులు ప‌ని చేస్తున్నాయా లేదా.. వంతెన‌ల‌పైన ప‌డిన వ‌ర్షం నీరు రంద్రాల ద్వారా కింద‌కు వెళ్తుందా లేదా చెక్ చేసుకోవాల‌ని హైడ్రా క‌మిష‌న‌ర్ శ్రీ ఏవీ రంగ‌నాథ్ గారు సూచించారు. జూన్ 8వ తేదీనాటికి వ‌ర్షాలు ఆరంభ‌మ‌య్యే ప‌రిస్థితులున్నాయ‌ని.. ఈ ఏడాది త‌క్కువ వ‌ర్షాలున్నా.. ప‌డిన‌ప్పుడు కుంభ‌వృష్టి ఉంటుంద‌ని హెచ్చ‌రించారు. అన్ని శాఖ‌ల‌తో హైడ్రా స‌మ‌న్వ‌యంగా ప‌ని చేసి.. స‌మ‌స్య‌ల ప‌రిష్కారానికి చ‌ర్య‌లు తీసుకుంటుంద‌ని చెప్పారు. ఎక్క‌డైనా ఇబ్బందులంటే వెంట‌నే త‌మ దృష్టికి తీసుకురావాల‌ని సూచించారు. వివిధ శాఖ‌లు చేసిన సూచ‌న‌ల‌మేర‌కు స‌మ‌స్య‌లు ప‌రిష్కారానికి సీఎంసీ చ‌ర్య‌లు తీసుకుంటుంద‌ని సీఎంసీ క‌మిష‌న‌ర్ శ్రీమతి సృజ‌న గారు తెలిపారు. దాదాపు 98 శాతం డీసిల్టింగ్ ప‌నులు పూర్త‌య్యాయ‌న్నారు. 161 వ‌ర‌కూ శిథిల భ‌వ‌నాలున్నాయ‌ని.. త్వ‌రలోనే ప‌రిశీలించి చ‌ర్య‌లు తీసుకుంటామ‌న్నారు. ట్రాఫిక్‌, జ‌ల‌మండ‌లి, ఇరిగేష‌న్‌, విద్యుత్ త‌దిత‌ర శాఖ‌ల ప‌నుల్లో ఆటంకాలు లేకుండా చ‌ర్య‌లు తీసుకుంటామ‌న్నారు. వ‌ర్షాకాలం త‌లెత్తే ట్రాఫిక్ స‌మ‌స్య‌ల‌ను ట్రాఫిక్ డీసీపీ శేషాద్రిని రెడ్డి ఐపీఎస్ గారు, అడిష‌న‌ల్ డీసీపీ శ్రీ హ‌నుమంత‌రావు గారు వివ‌రించారు. హైడ్రా అడిష‌న‌ల్ క‌మిష‌న‌ర్ శ్రీ ఆర్ సుద‌ర్శ‌న్‌గారు, సీఎంసీ ప‌రిధిలోని జోన‌ల్ క‌మిష‌న‌ర్లు, ఏసీపీలు, డీఎప్‌వో శ్రీ గౌత‌మ్‌తో పాటు ప‌లువురు అధికారులు ఈ స‌మావేశంలో పాల్గొని వ‌ర్షాకాలం ఎదుర‌య్యే స‌మ‌స్య‌లపై చ‌ర్చించారు. @cyberabadpolice @MC_Cyberabad @IPRTelangana #HYDRAA #MonsoonPreparedness #FloodManagement #Hyderabad #PublicSafety

Please note that the Durgam Cheruvu Naala also functions as a stormwater drain. During heavy rains, the current outlet cannot handle the inflow. This leads to sudden inundation along the Durgam Cheruvu Naala, which extends up to the Hitech City main road. This flash flooding will likely disrupt nearby colonies and block key roads. @MC_Cyberabad Madam, just a reminder. This is Durgam Cheruvu Naala which needs to be repaired or reconstructed immediately. The sewage overflows Naala due to less height and damage. The overflown sewage emits foul smell. Then the Naala can be covered with Crane removable pre cast slabs to stop smell to nearby colonies

@GummallaSrijana @GandhiArekapudi This is the status of Durgam Cheruvu Naala adjacent to Nectar Gardens. This Naala requires immediate repair / strengthening/reconstruction. Sewage or sewage-mixed stormwater water overflows and emits unbearable. Soil erosion is a big threat to Nectar Gardens compound walls. Kindly look into it.

Desilting Works in Progress – Cyberabad!! Cyberabad Municipal Corporation is actively undertaking desilting of storm water drains to enhance drainage capacity and ensure smooth water flow across the city. 🔹 72 works sanctioned covering 217.41 km at an estimated cost of ₹18 crores 🔹 98.69 km completed – achieving 49.46% progress 🔹 Works executed through both mechanical and manual methods 📍 Zone-wise Progress: • Serilingampally: 67.55% • Kukatpally: 59.32% • Quthbullapur: 21.52% Desilted material is being safely transported to the Jawahar Nagar dump yard after drying. All works are targeted for completion by end of April 2026, with continued maintenance thereafter. @CMC_Offcl The SNDP box drain work is now complete. The road can be beautified with an attractive median divider. Similarly, a circle/U-turn may be provided at both ends of the box drain on Durgam Cheruvu – Inorbit Mall Road.
