Making light of another assassination attempt on a President by our local Democrat Party is as disgraceful as it is unsurprising. This is exactly the kind of rhetoric that contributes to a climate where these attacks continue to happen, and frankly, it’s why my staff and I take security in our district so seriously. I receive dozens of threats every single day, and this kind of behavior only makes that reality worse. It’s deeply disappointing to see this coming from people in our own community. I pray they find the decency and clarity to reject this kind of hatred and choose a better path forward.
