I know 5 students who took the PUC exams this year, and all scored 550+, with 95+ in PCM. Their PUC scores are higher than their SSLC scores! Something unusual during our times. We all know PU colleges have cracked the pattern and know the exact types of questions that appear from particular chapters, which is fine. Students are made to repeat mock tests multiple times. But when the level of preparation has gone up, shouldn’t the difficulty of the exams go up too? What is the credibility of the board when these 100s of students who score 98% were unable to make it to JEE advanced on the other side? Yes, make it accessible for those aiming to score in the 40–50 range, but exceptional scores shouldn’t be normalized. It undermines the credibility of the board.
