@BrentO 6-12 months ago, you had a weekly link about how employees should get paid more the longer they are with a company because they are more useful due to institutional knowledge, but they are actually paid less. Do you have that link? I've been digging around, no luck.

@pareshmotiwala Also, we really don't have that many issues. We will run out of memory a couple times a month and need to re load things. We are also working on migrating all MD to tabular.

#sqlhelp #sqlfamily. Anybody successfully run MD and Tabular versions of SSAS on a single server along with a SQL server? Any tips/gotchas?

@pareshmotiwala We do. Only issue we come across is memory issues. As we build out our tabular models, we need to depreciate our MD models because MD seems to cache way too much stuff in memory.

@BrentO I just don't believe anyone who says they do professional development on SQL and not know any of these people!

@solarfleck @AandGShow I disagree, fellow internet friend. There is a significant difference in degree between Trump and his morals and ethics, than with the vast majority of politicians I can think of.

@SQLChick Where do you think we can learn more about this "Business Rules Engine" that they mention? I have seen many failed attempts at a similar concept. I would love to know how @microsoft solved it. @SQLServer maybe?

@ItzikBenGan Yeah we had a quick search and all we came up with was "Microsoft introduced the common table expression (CTE) feature with SQL Server 2005". Not much more information after that. Sorry we couldn't be more helpful ^JM

Does anyone know where the term common table expression (CTE) originated? There's no mention of it in the SQL standard (they call it with list element). It does appear in the documentation of leading db vendors like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2. #sqlhelp
