If there’s any truth in Bruno and Tonali leaving, could you really blame them. We haven’t kicked on since the cup win and they’re too good to not be playing in Europe. Not the mention the “project” has turned to absolute shit.

Trump: "Without the U.S.A., NATO IS A PAPER TIGER! They didn’t want to join the fight to stop a Nuclear Powered Iran. Now that fight is Militarily WON, with very little danger for them, they complain about the high oil prices they are forced to pay, but don’t want to help open the Strait of Hormuz, a simple military maneuver that is the single reason for the high oil prices. So easy for them to do, with so little risk. COWARDS, and we will REMEMBER! President DONALD J. TRUMP"

Looking at some of the replies to this, you realise that the best trick the devil ever pulled was to convince fans they had to pay outrageous ticket prices to fund transfers. #avfc far from the only culprits too.
Dan Bardell@danbardell

This is absolutely ludicrous and tone deaf from the club. Putting prices up after not selling out last night. You don’t sell out because they are too expensive. You undo any good work the players and Emery do, time after time. Rethink needed. @DV1874 this is why fans get frustrated, it’s not on you but feels like you are one of few that actually care and listen.

@JacobDocx @DavyBaty81 What happened in the home game when Trippier was brilliant in man-to-man press? I do love Botman, but I don't think he's been that much better since his big injury. Like that Burn slide where he blocked a certain goal, then got up and still cleared it—is Botman making that?

Just spoke to @POTUS about our European allies’ unwillingness to provide assets to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning, which benefits Europe far more than America. I have never heard him so angry in my life. I share that anger given what’s at stake. The arrogance of our allies to suggest that Iran with a nuclear weapon is of little concern and that military action to stop the ayatollah from acquiring a nuclear bomb is our problem not theirs is beyond offensive. The European approach to containing the ayatollah’s nuclear ambitions have proven to be a miserable failure. The repercussions of providing little assistance to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning are going to be wide and deep for Europe and America. I consider myself very forward-leaning on supporting alliances, however at a time of real testing like this, it makes me second guess the value of these alliances. I am certain I am not the only senator who feels this way.

@SabansAshes The USA absolutely does that. It just keeps those who align with the Trump administrations fallacies. Your independence was won by the French, your White House was then razed to the ground and you've lost every single war fought without us in the last century. Good luck!

@Will___lloyd All Trump had to do was build an international consensus, like Bush did twice. Starmer is ultimately being proved correct. But truth be told, it's beyond time for both the UK & Europe to start breaking away from dependence on the US. Israel-US ties will degrade in time too.

One of the key takeaways from this is that US officials thought support from the U.K. on Iran was effectively locked in from the start… it also includes a fairly incredible rant from Steve Bannon if you’re into that sort of thing

@Am_Yisroel_Chai And Iran wasn't remotely a threat to the US but here we are. Russia is, and always will be a US interest. And the US has effectively already admitted that the war cannot be won in its current form. The regime isn't going to fall, and the US wasn't prepared for the Strait of Homuz

Epic Fury should teach the lesson- again- that the U.S. needs our European Allies. Encouraging Allies to do more for defense is one thing, threatening and humiliating them is self defeating stupidity. “Our forces, bases and infrastructure take advantage of the Continent’s strategic geography and allow the United States to rapidly move forces, sustain operations and provide the president with diverse military options across multiple theaters,” Grynkewich said.
Stars and Stripes@starsandstripes

U.S. allies in Europe should be strong enough to lead the defense of the Continent by 2035, according to a top U.S. commander, who warned that Russia could challenge NATO before that time. stripes.com/theaters/us/20…

@clowncar1986 US has had access to basing in Greenland for decades, and closed most of them in 90s. European autonomy will only accelerate the end of US hegemony and the consequences for the US will be enormous. Now you're stuck in a war you cannot win, with virtually no support. Well done!

@SRDNUFC You have got it twisted. But you are correct that USA cannot totally rely on European / British bases. Another reason we will be declaring parts or all of #Greenland as U.S. Sovereign Territory. We can't rely on Wankers for self-defense can we.

@Am_Yisroel_Chai Iran, Iraq & Afghanistan were suddenly important to Europe? Degrading one of the world's largest militaries for fraction of US defence budget was absolutely within your interest as is now being shown facing Iranian drones without answers in ME. You're now in a war you cannot win.

@Am_Yisroel_Chai US funding effectively stopped when Trump re-took office, even under Biden Europe contributed more per capita and were always one step ahead on assistance. You clearly don't understand left from right, as most European leaders are anything but being leftists. Utter brain rot!

@clowncar1986 The US is incredibly reliant on European basing for this war. It's not Europe's fault that Trump decided not to build a coalition and ended up in the mess he's in. Not to mention that massive military budget increase is largely funded by Europe financing US debt.

@RLHeinrichs Don't agree. It woke them up to face their deficits. By not even being consulted, sidelined, and sometimes brushed aside. European allies are waking up to the fact that USA and Israel didn't need them. And not being needed is the worst.

@Nichtsistgut @RLHeinrichs Europe bled for wars, however unpopular for the US many times. US refused to do so for us (Suez, Falklands). European militaries are designed exactly the way the Pentagon asked them to do post 9/11 and provide the basing (and economic leverage) to allow the US to project force.

@Am_Yisroel_Chai Europe told to focus efforts on the Eastern Flank and are carrying all the Burden for Ukraine. Bush built international coalition twice which Trump could've easily done. He chose not to, thus Europe didn't mobilise. US has shown it is incredibly reliant on Europe for this war.
