Despite a lot of talent leaving the PNW lately, there are some big time sleepers from the northwest in this class. This is my current board. Teagan Scott is one of my favorite players in the class, really fun offensive profile for a catcher. Cal Scolari has high octane stuff, with some tweaks to make him a future rotation piece. Ryan Cooney is the mark of consistency, without many flaws to find. I haven’t given up on Maddox Molony, it was a tough BABIP year. The defense is sound, and the swing will be fine. Miles Gosztola offers fun shapes from the left side, being able to collect Ks and GBs while playing his best ball down the stretch. Dylan Hicks is one of the better talents from the NWAC this decade, with velocity and stuff to make him a draft possibility this year despite an Oregon St commitment. Max Hartman and Colton Bower are two of the best seniors in the region, who both steadied their respective offenses this year. Jace Taylor is the most projectable arm from the CCC. A great frame with present kid 90s velocity is certain to intrigue orgs. And lastly, Ryan Featherston. He was one of the best pitchers in the region pre-injury in 2026. Loud stuff and big time production.

Teagan Scott becomes the first-ever player from Salem to win the Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year award! Scott hit .568 / .694 / 1.203 with 12 doubles, 1 triple, 11 HR, 35 RBI, 46 R, 30 BB, 7 SO, and 22 SB while catching 167 innings.

Over the last 4 years, through migraines, shin injuries, a smashed nose, bumps & bruises, for all 115 games, all 742 innings, Sawyer Nelson played shortstop for each of his 16 pitchers’ 12,382 pitches. And he did it as the premiere SS in the state. He’s the Iron Man of Saxon ⚾️.
