Eliminate TSA. Hire private screeners. What is it about being a government employee that makes someone better at neutralizing threats at the airport? The answer is nothing. I posit that private companies would be far more efficient and if several were competing for the airport's business, the costs would drop. Technology has advanced so much in 20 years. I can't think of a better use for AI than replacing people with machines that don't care what color you are but instead measure facial body temperature or emotion cues to prompt additional screening. If highway toll plazas can capture your information at highway speeds, airport screening should operate at normal, unimpeded walking speed. More importantly, no critical infrastructure should be able to be held hostage by our own senate minority.
