@ScoringChanges Interesting. The way it’s written would suggest 6.3 overrides 6.17.2 because it’s specifically prescribed, but that’s good to know. Thank you.

@SSepich Yes, 6.17.2 overrides it. It's a very specific rule to supplement, and the final score is 7-3. This happens a lot in college for various reasons, and everything in the inning counts.

@cbhhughes21 @DevDevOR @westlotpirates That said it does seem that Oregon “milked the clock” late, which you can view as unethical but I imagine NU would do the same if running out the time would’ve helped them.

@cbhhughes21 @DevDevOR @westlotpirates I agree it’s odd, I’m just not sure how it would strategically benefit the traveling team since they would have no way of predicting how it would either help or hurt them

NU Nation needs to know that @NUSBcats were just robbed of a potentially season-defining, series-winning 7th inning rally vs #17 Oregon because of a FLIGHT SCHEDULE🤬

@cbhhughes21 @DevDevOR @westlotpirates I don't know if B1G has a specific policy that overrides NCAA rules, but NCAA rule allows for playing through the end of the current inning if time limit is reached but again, has to be agreed by both coaches before game starts.

@cbhhughes21 @DevDevOR @westlotpirates It's required by NCAA rules for travel plans to be communicated and drop-dead time to be agreed on by both teams no later than the pregame meeting between coaches. Game was going to end at that time regardless of who was leading.

@WHL_History @hawkeyblog And for Portland fans, the series definitely ended there. There were surely not 4 more games including 2 excruciating OT losses.
