Great for players to hear. @dallasmavs coach Jared Dudley how to impact winning in a world that is obsessed with scoring: 🔒 Defend Multiple Positions 🛞 Drive and Kick Decision Making 🎯 What's Your One Outlier Trait? Social media glorifies the 20+ point per game scorer. But most teams already have one, or two of those guys. What they’re really searching for are the players who dominate in the margins: boxing out, sprinting back, diving on the floor, the second effort, the winning habit repeated over and over again. Your value isn’t determined by how many minutes you get. It’s determined by what you do with the minutes you've earned. Because that impact creates trust. And that trust creates opportunity. And the players who consistently help the team grow usually end up growing themselves.

Geno Auriemma shares what it really means to be a great teammate. "Your contribution doesn't have to be 25 points. But it has to be something and we have to get it." "Set a good screen. Make a good pass. Go get an offensive rebound and give us another possession." Every role matters. And your actions count. "Your number one contribution is the energy that you bring to what we're doing." You don't have to be the best player on the floor to be the most important one. Show up. Bring energy. Do your job. That's what great teammates do. (🎥 SNY)

“Whatever you do in life, have the courage and commitment to do it to your absolute best.” - Pat Summitt Not halfway effort. Not excuses. Not “good enough.” The courage to show up. The commitment to stay with it. That’s where excellence lives.

@readswithravi Motivation will fluctuate while discipline will keep you tied to action and habits. It doesn't matter what you say you want, it matters what you are willing to consistently do.
