Question: When you talk about too many immigrants here, when did you guys decide that number? Why did you sell us a dream? You made us spend our youth, our wealth in this country and gave us a dream. You don't owe us anything. We have worked hard for it. How can you as a vice president stand there and say that we have too many of them now and we are going to take them out to people who are here rightfully so by paying the money that you guys asked us? You gave us the path and now how can you stop it and tell us we don't belong here anymore?

@AndyBelfast @cahillbooks Every surgeon I know fights for more operating time in the NHS. The failure of the NHS to provide this is the issue. The vast majority work well over 48 hours a week, and if they choose to do private work in their free time is their choice.

@cahillbooks You should have asked how many hours they work for NHS every week.

When a surgeon says to you "this is Northern Ireland. I am not a politician", you know you have a problem.

@agemjourney Don’t understand why the PR examination was not done as part of the initial clerking. It takes two minutes. Probably took longer to hand it over! Also kinder to the patient to get it done and dusted.

Got grumpy at another doctor today, need to know if I was unreasonable 😂 I was covering the wards on lates, someone called to hand over a PR exam that had been on the WR plan from 10am that they ‘couldn’t get to’ then said it was ?cauda equina even though the WR notes said 1/2

Obviously I’m being a bit hyperbolic here, but shouldn’t research be done by people who literally cannot help themselves. They think in p-values. They have hypotheses pouring out of their massive brains. Just like a surgeon only wants to be in the OR doing surgery. Instead, we have an army of pre-meds, med students, and residents who feel an obligation to “do research” as a means to an end. Doesn’t make sense. What are we doing?
