Someone should study why impotent conservative femboys pretending to be men on the Internet all decided in unison to hate Rory Mcilroy as an artifact of their politically obsessed personalities.
Jon Root@JonnyRoot_

Rory McIlroy is easily one of the most pretentious players in the history of the sport. He comes across as a spoiled brat, who loves throwing shade, especially at Bryson DeChambeau, but clearly can’t take it. The irony of calling someone else “performative”…

@EatandSleepGolf This is so stupid, mentioning the word hostage is performative and dramatic. Bryson is the one who got the bullshit penalty hours after his round. Rory whining because his tee time text was a little late is rich.

#RoryMcIlroy likes a bit of the limelight too and can be somewhat performative at times But the sentiment is correct … Bryson’s actions in the length of time it took for him to accept the decision and the way he kept the whole championship waiting was the worst aspect of all

🚨🗣️👀 #NEW — Watch as Rory McIlroy UNLOADS on LIV star Bryson DeChambeau: “I'm not particularly fond of him. I think a lot of it's performative.. think a lot of it's for attention..to hold the tournament hostage…“didn't feel like it was a great look.”

@genowoj lol nothing performative about it. If most men went and hit range balls till they were able to make level headed decisions the world would be a better place. He refused to talk to the media.. talking to them would have been performative.

Started doing stories on DeChambeau when he was practicing out of Dragonfly Golf Club north of Fresno. He was performative then; he's performative now. He is unconventional, non-conforming, exasperating, compelling, petulant and gifted. I've witnessed his kindness and his hissy fits. His reaction to an appropriate penalty was childish. But every story needs an antagonist, and DeChambeau is golf's antagonist...

@genowoj Coward!!! It wasn't an appropriate penalty, but you aren't going to go against the media narrative. You guys don't deserve any respect.

Is no one hitting into the fescue today or are they going out of their way not to show it? Maybe the R&A gave the call to NBC and Sky Sports

I think we can infer from Rory's comments today — and tweets by a handful of others last night — that a lot of players were not happy last night that the R&A delayed sending out tee times for so long while Bryson's penalty was sorted out. "To hold the tournament hostage like that, and to have all of us, players, volunteers, everyone waiting on him to depart, I didn't feel like it was a great look," Rory said.

@JeremySchaap A third ESPN employee informs us once again that Rory pushing the anti-Bryson media narrative is some kind of refreshing profile in courage. What a joke!

@MrR_Rocks @TimBrando He's not "being honest" he is pushing a narrative against someone he doesn't like. Cowardly, agreeing with the media narrative is not a profile in courage but quite the opposite.

Dude, no one caught it because he looked exactly like every single other golfer who gets in the thick stuff. He was penalized for who he is. His backswing was steep and no where near where he was standing. There was no clear evidence of anything. His haters are pathetic zombies who are told who to like and not like by the media.

I’m just asking this because I didn’t see it live, did anyone on the live broadcast say anything about the @brysondech ruling when I happened, like during the round? If not how can a commentator later last night say that he did everything but lay down behind the ball?

I tuned into Joe Rogan yesterday and heard Bernie Sanders' economics, Barack Obama's foreign policy, and Ro Khanna's conspiracy theories. And then I realized JD Vance was talking. I want a candidate in 2028 who doesn't mirror the Democrats -- and who can win. Mr. VP, this is not the way. youtube.com/watch?v=8QcbPC…

Just finished my third rewatch of Deadwood (including the movie). As fantastically written and acted as the entire ensemble is, the overwhelming feeling I'm left with is that Ian McShane as Al Swearengen gives the single greatest male television performance of all fucking time.
