Here's a "pinned tweet" thread because I want to pin more than one.

@EAFPW_Official @Commodore256 @AndrewCFrancis The 1964-2005 live-action productions are the #StarTrek Original Universe. That's TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT, the TMP films through TUC, and the TNG films. (Jeri Taylor also canonized her two VOY backstory novels. No one of higher rank ever disputed it, but many ignore them.)

@STvSW @SonicFront70231 Common knowledge outside of company, does not mean it is accurate. But please present your timeline of it and evidence for your assertions.

@STvSW @SonicFront70231 1. Share source. 2. No it doesn't mean he was writing for original lore. It means he was not in the need to know. You dont have any evidence, you, too, are drawing a conclusion. Yes he was writing for Disney's EU.

@STvSW @SonicFront70231 The DLF story group was formed 2013 to maintain the DSW lore. They knew they were rebooting & setting up for it, even before official statement.

@TheStarWarsOG @SonicFront70231 No. That's not how words work. The first couple of Disney Canon works were focused on the show "Star Wars: Rebels", but (depending on how you count it) the seventh was not. It's absurd to try to call all the Disney Canon printed materials "Rebels" rather than just move on.

@TheStarWarsOG @SonicFront70231 1. That is, obviously, not the "business as usual" quote I was referring to. 2. Miller learning later in the writing process means Miller was writing an EU novel, prima facie, unless you have evidence the novel was commissioned to be the first Disney Canon novel by intent.

@SonicFront70231 Resistance-typing nonsense, translated: "I have no response to the evidence provided, but I also don't want to acknowledge I was factually wrong or that I was foolish to question the honesty of the CanonWars guy, so I am going to act petulant in lieu of dealing with reality."

@SonicFront70231 There's a similar one about one of the early short stories or comics, plus someone in Licensing literally saying it was "business as usual" when the announcement came, rather than there being some tabula rasa. Cut your crap.

@SonicFront70231 Not "fishy" at all. You can't just turn the entire thing on a dime. A decision made doesn't necessarily equate to immediate action ... there's planning, if you're good at your job. Even the first Disney Canon works were just EU things relabeled for the new era.

@STvSW But also, Disney wouldn't announce the EU's cancellation until 2014. Something is fishy here in the state of Denmark.
