We recently had a visit from Pete, a BRACE supporter who travelled from Spain to meet the team at the BRACE office and explore the incredible South West Dementia Brain Bank. Laura, manager of the @SWDBrainBank, showed Pete around and provided an insight into the amazing work they do. 💬 "What Laura does is incredibly complex, yet she made it easy for me to grasp. I left with the knowledge that there will be an end to the horror that took my wife. It was in the air. It was in Laura’s determined passion to defeat dementia. It may not happen in my lifetime, or even in Laura’s, but it WILL happen. My visit to the brain bank convinced me of that." Pete’s wife sadly passed away with Frontotemporal dementia in 2022, leading him on this journey to gain knowledge and support dementia research any way he can. It was inspiring to see Pete's dedication to a cause that means so much to so many of us.
