Been a while - some observations:
> Trains no longer every 30 mins, now hourly from Gil > Wat.
> Gil > Wat which was once 1hr 58 is now 2hr 18!!
> Worse service = Higher price.
> Car park is empty at 8am - previously full at 7am!
Half the trains. Still not busy. Wonder why?

Weak.
Was a absolute sh*t show at Waterloo. Removed all the WoE line services from the departure boards and gave zero info to staff. I was one of the lucky ones that's jumped on a train that was apparently the 2+ hour delayed 19:20 and was taxi'd onwards from Salisbury. £80 fare.

40 minutes stationary now. Has the guard walked through the clear gangway on the train? No. Course not. What's going on @SW_Help ?

In a usual return to form; 08:12 GIL > WAT we've been sat for +10mins. In the 1hr:45 I've been on this train I've not seen a guard and the announcements are too quiet for anybody to hear. Care to update @SW_Help ? What's cracking?

Ahh, snacks. Remember those days @SW_Help when you used to be able to buy a bottle of water or a bag of crisps during your 2+ hr commute.
And on another note; twice the distance on LNER for £10 less than my usual route. Same time.

Ahh, I’ve missed sweating through my shirt for 2hrs owing to failed air con on the WoE line.

Emergency time timetable on @SW_Help West of England line for the next week. Very few trains. The diesel used on these trains includes some biofuel. I’m told this has clogged filters. All tanks will have to be flushed and filters replaced. Big job.

First journey of ‘23. It’s a trip to Woking to catch a bus to Heathrow. Not the bus I was planning mind. Why? Because my train is 20+ minutes late. What’s more, they’ve cancelled the stop altogether. Have they announced it on the train? No. Trainline told me. @SW_Help on top form

I’m told officially by @SW_Help that a few extra services are running and “only” 150 guards are spending all day on duty drinking tea as “spare” turns, as “40 something %” of trains are operating, with Clapham depot closed entirely.

An @SW_Help person tells me they have 495 train guards on roster today. 143 have duties, leaving 352 - an astonishing 70% - being paid to sit around as “spare.” Because only 47% of the timetable is operating, trains parked idle.
How can the railway function like this?
