New long‑acting HIV prevention drug, #Lenacapavir, has arrived in 🇿🇼 Zimbabwe—offering near‑total protection & new hope for high‑risk groups. But with aid cuts straining already fragile health systems, its rollout will test the country’s ability to deliver life‑saving care. #endAIDS sbs.com.au/news/podcast-e…

Today, we commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination — a stark reminder that racism continues to harm people across the globe. Racial inequalities remain a major barrier to ending AIDS. Systemic racism shapes access to healthcare, prevention, treatment, and support services, disproportionately affecting racial and ethnic minorities. To end AIDS, we must end these injustices. Let us use this day to reaffirm our commitment to a world free from racism. An equal future is possible — if together we all #FightRacism and #StandUp4HumanRights.

Every accurate diagnosis brings a person closer to the right care. Nigeria is taking major steps to make that a reality for everyone. At the National Diagnostics Summit, Nigeria launched its first National Guideline for Implementing Medical Laboratory Quality Management Systems, developed with WHO technical support and partners. The guideline will help laboratories deliver more reliable, affordable, and timely testing. This progress matters. Stronger diagnostics improve early detection, reduce treatment delays, and strengthen health security. The new guideline is expected to support over 4,000 registered laboratories and improve quality standards across70% of facilities nationwide. Under the leadership of @Fmohnigeria, and with support from donors and partners, Nigeria is expanding access to quality diagnostics and advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda for better health outcomes.
