Yes — by non-public, we mean controlled spaces that are not public roads or mixed traffic environments. These could include private campuses, industrial sites, warehouses, estates, resorts, institutions, visitor destinations or other managed premises where movement is controlled by the owner or operator. Saaras is built for such managed environments, not for public-road use.

Saaras has been purpose-built differently — for controlled movement in campuses, sites, warehouses and managed spaces, with a standing-tall riding position for better visibility and control. Thank you — that is a very good question. It was not that a seat could not be added; the standing posture was an intentional design decision. Saaras is meant for controlled, managed spaces where the rider needs visibility, awareness, balance and easy movement on and off the vehicle. The standing-tall posture supports that use case — especially in campuses, sites, warehouses, factories and destinations where people and movement are part of the same environment. A seat would change the posture, weight dynamics, handling and overall product behaviour quite significantly. For Saaras, standing is central to the way the vehicle is meant to work.

Thank you — stability is a very relevant question. The standing rider position does raise the overall centre of mass, so Saaras has been designed with a robust chassis and low, stable vehicle weight distribution to support balance, rider confidence, control and predictable handling. That is also why Saaras has a larger form than compact consumer commute scooters. It is not designed as a public-road commute scooter, but for controlled, low-speed movement in managed environments such as campuses, sites, warehouses, factories and destinations — where the rider needs to feel confident even on uneven or compromised surfaces. Rider confidence and stability have been tested in real operating conditions for this purpose.

We understand the skepticism. For Saaras, hand-fabricated is not a decorative marketing word — it reflects hands-on engineering, fabrication, assembly, testing and rider-height configuration by an Indian MSME. We may not be building on large assembly lines at this stage, but we are very proud of the product, its quality and the care that goes into making it. We are also deeply conscious of the responsibility that comes with building under Make in India. Indian products should be judged by quality and real performance — and that is what we are working to prove with Saaras.

Walkable paths are very important, and they should absolutely be part of good campus, site and destination planning. Saaras is meant to complement that need in large controlled environments where distances can be long, movement may be repeated through the day, or staff and visitors may need a more practical way to cover ground. It is designed for controlled, low-speed movement, so it can support mobility without disrupting the walking experience of the space.
