Present CM of Odisha @MohanMOdisha is four-time MLA from Keonjhar
Yes.. the same district where #JituMunda is living and was deprived of basic necessities like food, clean water and electricity..
Isn't it a big reason to #BlameBankers to shift the blame to easy scapegoat ??
English

Oh no no never..this is just an over-reaction by some who after the Jitu Munda Case😳have begun to believe that the GRAMEEN BANK CONCEPT🏦 is a serious ghuspet intrusion of illegal idea💡into the nation😳creating crocodilian🐊 alligatorian venomous snakian🐍conditions deep inland

Hi @DFS_India @FinMinIndia @RBI,
In case of #JituMunda, ur role was to inform nation that rules are made for the safety of common people.
However, but no official statement yet.
Banks & bankers are being brutally trolled for following the rules.
Speak up.

English

@mychangebook @bankaffairs so because of this every banker must break rules?
English

In his letter to Nirmala Sitharaman, Naveen Patnaik flags a banking lapse..
But let’s cut the drama.
Stop dumping everything on banks.
Banks don’t certify deaths.
Banks don’t identify legal heirs.
Banks don’t create ground reality.
That’s administration’s job , and that’s exactly where the silence is.
When documents are delayed, disputed, or messy, banks are expected to magically “be humane” and also “follow rules” at the same time.
Convenient expectation. Zero accountability elsewhere.
If a banker bends rules → fraud case, vigilance, recovery, career finished.
If the system fails → just blame the bank and move on.
Perfect arrangement.
Let’s be clear:
Banks are the easiest scapegoat because they are visible and defenseless.
Real issue?
Failure of local administration + broken certification process.
Until that is fixed, this cycle of blame is nothing but hypocrisy.

@kalyansharma200 @bankaffairs Excellent literacy idea💡In fact until everyone is educated 👏🏿 govt at centre shd 📜 close all Bank A/Cs that belong to customers without minimum B.A.L.L.B. with specialization in BANKING LAW i.e. unless a customer has BALLS s/he shd not be allowed to enter Bank, sorry B.A.L.L.B.!

@Ramanand06X What a fabulous 👌 case you have constructed for politicians to only marry politicians 😉 and have their children politicized 😂🤣
English

“Why do IAS officers often marry other IAS officers?”
A friend once asked this after seeing the wedding of Ravi Kumar Sihag and Ishita Rathi.
I smiled and said, “It’s not a rule, it’s a pattern… and patterns usually have reasons.”
“Think about it,” I continued, “the UPSC journey is not normal. Years of isolation, pressure, failures, discipline… very few people truly understand that life.”
“When two IAS officers meet, they don’t have to explain their struggle… they already know it.”
“They’ve both sat in the same exam halls, felt the same anxiety, faced the same uncertainty… that creates a different kind of connection.”
He nodded, so I added, “Then comes the job itself.”
“Transfers, long hours, administrative pressure, political stress… it’s not easy for a partner from a completely different background to adjust.”
“But when both are IAS,” I said, “there is mutual understanding, respect, and professional alignment.”
“It’s easier to say, ‘You handle your district, I’ll handle mine… we both know what it takes.’”
“And yes,” I smiled, “there’s also proximity.”
“During training at LBSNAA, officers spend months together… friendships grow, understanding deepens, and sometimes… it turns into something more.”
He laughed and said, “So it’s not about status?”
I replied, “Not really… it’s more about compatibility.”
“Same mindset, same journey, same challenges… and sometimes, that’s exactly what people look for in a life partner.”

@shantiswarup4u "A tribal in Odisha had to carry his sister’s skeletal remains to a bank to access his money.Because nobody guided him." Now it is being touted that he knew all along that he had to get death cert , legal heir cert, medical cert, burial slip but never applied being recalcitrant🤦

English

Let’s not forget how this actually played out in Odisha.
In the early 2000s, the BJD govt in the state signed deals with Vedanta Resources.
Mining in Niyamgiri was planned. Land was identified. The refinery work began.
At the Centre, the Congress-led UPA govt gave the initial clearances. So both sides were aligned when the project was moving forward.
At that time, where were the big speeches about tribal rights?
Where was the concern?
Were the Dongria Kondh properly taken into confidence before all this started?
Then resistance began.
People on the ground said no.
The matter reached courts, media, and became a national issue.
Only then the tone changed. Clearances were cancelled.
Gram Sabhas were held.
And suddenly leaders started appearing as protectors.
Some took credit for stopping the project.
Some projected themselves as saviours of tribals.
But look at the sequence carefully.
First approvals given
Then protests begin.
Then cancellation made.
Then credit taken.
And now look at today.
A tribal man in Odisha had to carry his sister’s skeletal remains to a bank just to access his own money.
Because nobody guided him.
Because the system never reached him.
So on one side, governments can plan mining projects worth crores.
On the other side, a citizen doesn’t even know how to withdraw his own savings.
This is not coincidence. This is a pattern.
When land is involved, systems move fast.
When real life problems exist, systems disappear.
And before every election, the same faces come back.
They talk about protection.
They talk about development.
They remind people how they stood with them.
But the real question is simple.
If both the state and the centre were part of starting the process,
then who exactly are they asking credit from when it was stopped?
And more importantly, after all these years, why is the basic life of tribal communities still so disconnected from the system?
People should not just listen to speeches now.
They should look at the full story.
Because sometimes what is shown as leadership is actually just damage control after things go out of hand.
