Trump calling Taiwan a 'very small island' while admitting it's 59 miles from China shows how little he grasps the stakes. Taiwan isn't just chips — it's a thriving democracy of 23 million people and the heart of the global semiconductor supply chain. Blaming past presidents for 'stealing' the industry ignores that U.S. companies chose to offshore for profit. Sounding defeated before any fight only encourages Xi. This isn't realism; it's weakness dressed up as tough talk."

Classic AI + Crypto hype cycle in action Kled is just repackaging public Kaggle datasets and calling it 'revolutionary data' while launching a token. They even paid Heave for astroturfing on X and told them not to disclose it was paid promo. Zero moat, heavy marketing, sudden chart pump = the usual playbook. Don’t get high on every hype you see on X, folks. Most of it is just hot air."

So what you're saying is Kled, an "AI startup" with its own random cryptocasino token, isn't actually a disruptive innovator? It's more hype and hot air? Naw. It couldn't be. Packaging up and selling data sounds so dang innovative! I am disappointed. 🫠
tenso@distributedkv

@boneGPT they are reselling data from kaggle and using public dataasets checked every dataset listed on their site. literally there's no limit to grifting all of these guys are doing. no unique dataset, no unique IP to sell

@RepDonBeyer Short comment:"Eric says blind trust + only broad indexes. But Trump's signed OGE disclosure shows 15+ individual Nvidia trades worth millions in Q1 alone — plus thousands of other specific buys/sells. Not a true blind trust. Optics are bad on AI/chip policy. "

Outright lies. Trump's assets aren't in a blind trust, and he bought and sold individual Nvidia stock in 15 separate transactions totaling millions of dollars. That's what Trump's financial disclosure - which has his signature - says. See for yourself: extapps2.oge.gov/201/Presiden.n…
Eric Trump@EricTrump

.@SenWarren All of our assets are invested in a blind trust by the largest financial institutions in broad market indexes. To suggest that individual stocks are being bought or sold, at the discretion of any member of the Trump family, would be a lie and blatantly false. Using a silly example, if you buy the “Schwab 1000,” you will get some exposure to Nvidia - as well as a 1,000 other U.S. companies large- and mid-cap stocks. It’s completely disingenuous to represent anything to the contrary. Please be better than this…

Spot on, Mark! Old-school CEOs won't get it from slides or meetings — they'll only wake up when an AI-native competitor starts eating their lunch. In behavioral health, AI agents could crush it on therapy notes, scheduling, personalized care plans, and even initial assessments. Start small with one high-ROI workflow, show real results, and the CEO will come around fast. Anyone else building in this space? "

@mcuban I am the Operations Director of a mid-sized Behavioral Health agency and "we live in a new world" is what I have been saying to my CEO for the past two years re AI. He is very old school. How does one convince an old school, successful CEO, that we need to jam early on this?

@mcuban @Jebus It’s a good take. People used to butcher about Amazon Basics coming in and stealing their idea and making it a race to the bottom for their products and brands. This is kinda like the software version of that.

Obama was Harvard Law Review president, published an unsigned case comment, and graduated Magna Cum Laude (blind grading). Follett’s “never published” story is wrong. He was clearly smart enough for academia but chose politics over clerkships/articles. Calling him an idiot is weak — critique the policies, not debunked personal attacks.

(1) Obama wasn't an idiot, among other things he graduated Magna Cum Laude from HLS, and most of his classes would have been blind-grade. (2) He wrote an unsigned case comment, so he did in fact publish. (3) He obviously didn't have the academic bug, because he didn't try to pursue clerkships, and didn't thereafter write law review articles, even though he could have walked into a law professor job if he had, but so what? (4) When you said something ignorant years ago and got called out for it, it doesn't make *you* look good to reprise the incident.
Andrew Follett@AndrewCFollett

In undergrad, I called Obama an idiot in front of a professor...citing the fact that he was the only editor of the Harvard Law Review to never publish a law review. She literally screamed at me while frothing at the mouth. Never said how I was wrong though!

USDC as native gas for predictable fees on an EVM L1 targeting finance use cases? This feels like the "Wall Street chain" narrative heating up. First listed US company doing a pre-launch L1 token sale — regulatory clarity is clearly helping them move fast. Will be watching how the token unlocks and real adoption play out post-mainnet. Bullish on the infra angle if they deliver. What do you think? $ARC or just another L1?

@marcportermagee Demographics is destiny. The enrollment cliff was predictable for years, and now it's hitting hard. Heavy reliance on out-of-state tuition was always risky. Universities will finally have to adapt — cut costs, improve value, or shrink."

Trump himself just admitted it: "We're doing it to help Israel" and the Gulf dictatorships. Yet if anyone pointed this out earlier—that the US has no vital interest in this war and it's being driven by those lobbies—they'd get branded an "anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist."This is peak hypocrisy. "America First" got swapped for "Israel First + Gulf monarchies," with American taxpayers and the global economy footing the bill. Trump just ripped the mask off—denial is getting harder. What do you think? Real America First, or foreign lobbies running the show?

If you say the US has no interest in continuing war in Iran, and Trump is only doing it to serve Israel and the Gulf State tyrannies he loves and that enrich his family, you'll be called an anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist. But then Trump just comes out and says it himself:

@mcuban True Mark. Big AI will keep turning products into features, but they’ll stay generalist. Real wins are in deep verticals — regulated sectors, proprietary data, complex workflows, local trust. Build moats around data + execution. Specialization beats compression."

@biancoresearch Demographic cliff is here. US fertility crashed post-2007 → smaller college-age cohorts from 2026. UVM’s 15% freshman drop & $12M deficit is just the start. Many colleges will merge/close. Elites survive, rest struggle. Predictable for years.
