@Carlynotcarley OK, babes. You just carry on ignoring everything the Disabled Peoples Movement has been saying for the past 40+ years as you obviously know so much better.

@Carlynotcarley *Disability* is not *normal*, it is the name of our oppression by capitalism. *Impairment* may be widespread due to societal conditions but that doesn’t make it *normal* as it is often caused by conflict and poverty.

@BobHRoss @Carlynotcarley The *disability is normal* assertion is a fundamental misunderstanding of what disability actually is as it conflates *disability* with *impairment* - two different things.

@Carlynotcarley Are you serious? I suggest you actually do some research about the effects of war trauma on physical and mental health globally. Ditto for poverty. Poor people are more likely to acquire impairments through accidents or maternal malnutrition in pregnancy.

@livlost980 @rexs_ma Very similar situation to my son who is 31. He receives about £1300 a month and this is someone who requires care 24/7. Unless the OP can provide an actual breakdown of this £4000 I’d say it’s bollocks.

@rexs_ma Either they are lying to wind you up or you are lying to wind everyone else up. My 39 yr old son has severe disabilities, he is quadriplegic, hoisted into bed/chairs/showers etc, wheelchair bound, capacity age 4. Maximum benefits and he’s nowhere near what you claim.

Charlie's Bar in Enniskillen have released their 2025 Christmas Ad. The bar shot to fame in 2023 for their low budget film following an elderly man’s lonely walk through town before finding company in the pub. 6 mill people saw the 2023 clip. This year's ad is focusing on carers.

@PlinthBotherer5 Jeezo. Do you seriously believe someone (me) uses passenger assistance for fun? It’s a hassle, people stare and I hate it. The icing on the cake is knowing numpties like you are judging me.

@connor_naismith OMG. The sheer audacity in claiming the current Labour Party is even remotely *socialist* and gives a shit about care workers.

In Polanski's view, migrants serve the purpose of doing the jobs he thinks are beneath him and his class, on the cheap. Socialists should reject this view of social care and migration.

Reform is the party of working people. Reform is the party of entrepreneurs. Reform is the party of alarm-clock Britain. Reform is the party of small businesses. Reform is the party of farmers. We NEED all of these areas for the country to thrive. We NEED Reform.

@crimlawuk Surely if that really were the issue, the solution would be to provide better support for jurors in *long term complex* trials.

Lammy is saying that it is unfair for jurors to be required to deal with "long and complex cases". I do not remember him or Starmer making that argument over the Hillsborough Inquests, which took 2 years with a jury. I was there and I saw the jury at work, concentrating, listening and accepting their public duty, day after day, month after month, even year after year. Is Lammy now saying that there should have been no jury for that case? And that there will be no juries for similar cases in the future? Or has he basically got no idea what he is talking about?

@mitchjdjd1 @Davyjrob67 Into the sexual abuse of children *and* animals. I understand learning a close friend/colleague is an abuser must be heartbreaking but surely this must be the line where a relationship with them ends and that definitely means no birthday party invite.

@Davyjrob67 Isn't it usual to have something in common with our friends? Wonder what they had in common that was worth maintaining a friendship for because being a convicted sex offender who's into children would be a deal breaker in any of my friendships 🤔

One of the most terrifying statements in all of literature: “I wear the chains I forged in life. I made it link by link, and yard by yard; I girded it on of my own free will, and of my own free will I wore it.” ~ the ghost of Jacob Marley
