I’ve stood in front of ministers and government officials, not to flatter them but to debate, challenge and speak honestly about what’s holding Africa back. Pan-Africanism is about solutions and accountability and NOT slogans that place pressure on South Africa.

One Africa without equal development is just a slogan. Until leadership improves and real economic growth happens across the continent, ‘One Africa’ won’t unite us. It will simply shift the pressure onto countries like South Africa. #conversation

Today, 07 April 2026, @TheBMA_SA Commissioner Masiapato continued with the return-leg of the Easter operations at Beitbridge Port of Entry. Several unaccompanied minors and adults were intercepted in the nearby bushes while awaiting a facilitator to transport them to a bus. The unaccompanied minors were handed over to the Department of Social Development for further care, while the adults were deported back to their country of origin. As we mark the 3rd anniversary of the Border Management Authority this April 2026, these interventions reaffirm our continued commitment to secure our borders for development.
