Timber drops 8 out of 10s consistently, but was starting to get flack for a lack of goals or not being Trent with the moonrakers. Every time Raya makes an error, people want to question him. There’s clear contact on Eberechi Eze and it’s enough to disrupt him before the shot. The referee gives it instantly, so he’s seen it clearly. Then VAR steps in and suddenly they’re looking for reasons to overturn it. That’s not what VAR is for, it’s supposed to correct obvious mistakes, not re-referee decisions. Eze gets to the ball first and is caught. We’ve seen those given countless times. That was Arsenal’s big moment, and to have it taken away like that is harsh. For me, it’s a clear penalty. VAR has got this one wrong. #ATMARS
