@beatingthebook I know DK has wonky lines sometimes, but make this make sense. Why would anyone lay -1.5 with AZ at -104 … when you can take the ML at +108? Same true for Michigan. It’s cheaper to take the +1.5.

@ScoutWithBryan I agree with this take completely. I get the point about it being a potential T-foul. But we don’t know the relationship/history between Hurley and this ref. Maybe they have a good relationship and the ref understood the intent. Either way, I appreciate the ref showing retraint.

I’ve seen some loony takes about this. They are clearly buddy-buddy. I’m not saying that in a “favoritism, fix was in” way. I’m saying they are friendly. Hurley did that as if to say “can you f’in believe that?” He was being himself. Refs/coaches are human

@JTTheBrick JT, I respect your Dad’s knowledge of the game, but I just let them foul you. Just hold the ball and let them foul you. Go make your free throws and win the game. Worst case scenario: you miss both. They still need to get the rebound push it ahead and make a 3 to beat you.

Just got off the phone with my Dad (87) who played basketball and coached and he had a lot to say on this play. Duke didn’t have to do much, but the UCONN press was so good. Still hold on to the ball, try to dribble around the pressure or throw it up high in the air to the far end. You can’t have the ball deflected in that spot. Especially such an elite player. A historic turnover that will live on forever. Dan Hurley obviously practiced this “trap” often and his players pulled it off and also make a legendary shot.

I had Jason Myers 250/1 to win MVP. I’m not even suggesting he deserved to win despite kicking 5 FGs. But if not tonight, then it’s never going to happen for a kicker. Books shouldn’t offer the position. In fact, the league should come out and say the they’re ineligible.

The best thing about this game has been the lack of penalties. They are only calling the stuff they absolutely have to call. Why can’t the league just do this all the time?

I was the Justin Herbert vote. The guy had the worst offensive line in the NFL all season and despite that he was working miracles in almost every single game. Stafford's OL became 2/5ths as bad as Herbert's for 5 minutes and he became a turnover howitzer. He embodied 'value'.

@KCStar I will bang the drum for Roger Craig all day. But saying you just had to vote for Greenwood and/or Anderson is silly and frankly disqualifies you as a voter. The HOF should be reserved for absolute legends of the game. Revamp all the criteria and set a 5 year cap on eligibility.
