Namaskar, The Hon’ble Supreme Court is hearing a case where the Learned Amicus Curiae has suggested reducing the age of consent from 18 to 16 years. This petition originally arose after the Nirbhaya case to ensure women’s safety, not to redefine childhood or consent. Such a proposal goes beyond its scope and risks harming our children. Children aged 16 to 18 are still in school; this is the age to study, not to legalize adult relationships. I am filing an Intervention Application before the Supreme Court opposing this move, with guidance from Sr. Adv. Shri Makarand D. Today, the application for a Court-monitored investigation in the matter concerning derogatory posts by Ms. Rana Ayyub is listed before the Ld. Magistrate at Saket Court. On the last date of hearing, the Ld. Magistrate had directed the Investigating Officer to apprise the Court of the status and progress of the investigation in FIR No. 003/25 (dated 27.01.2025, PS Cyber South), registered against Ms. Rana Ayyub pursuant to the Court's earlier order on our complaint for insults to Hindu Deities, Veer Savarkar, and the Indian Army.
