Hace tres días descubrí que mi hijo de 6 años no es mío biológicamente, y hoy mismo le pedí el divorcio a mi esposa y dejé de pagar su colegio privado. Descubrí la verdad por un test de ADN que me hice por pura curiosidad médica, y resultó que mi "mejor amigo" de toda la vida es el padre real. Mi esposa se puso de rodillas suplicando perdón, diciendo que fue "un error de una sola noche" y que, independientemente de la sangre, yo soy el único padre que el niño conoce. Mis suegros me llaman desesperados diciendo que el niño no tiene la culpa y que quitarle la estabilidad económica y mi presencia es un acto de crueldad extrema que lo traumatizará de por vida.
Yo no odio al niño, pero cada vez que lo miro veo la traición de las dos personas en las que más confiaba. No voy a seguir financiando la vida de un hijo que fue fruto de un engaño sistemático durante años. He decidido que solo pagaré lo mínimo legal si un juez me obliga, pero ya eliminé el fondo de ahorro para su universidad y puse la casa a la venta. Mis amigos dicen que soy un cobarde por "abandonar" a un niño que me ama, pero yo siento que he estado viviendo una mentira financiada con mi propio esfuerzo. ¿Ustedes se quedarían a criar al hijo de una traición por "amor" o cortarían todo lazo para empezar de cero? I can’t believe the day today. I found a kitten covered in ants on its last leg. I tried to clean him at work and noticed his insides coming out of his backside. Rushed him to ER vet after 3 min they said nothing we can do but put him down peacefully. Acabo de cancelar mi boda, a solo dos semanas del evento, porque revisé el celular de mi prometida y descubrí que tiene una cuenta de ahorros secreta con más de $50,000 USD de la que nunca me habló. Mis amigos dicen que exageré, que al final es su dinero y que no hubo una infidelidad física, así que no debería tirar tres años a la basura. Yo siento que viví con una estafadora que me dejó cargar con todo el peso financiero mientras ella acumulaba una fortuna a mis espaldas. Ella dice que si la amara, su cuenta bancaria no me importaría. Yo digo que la confianza se rompió para siempre. ¿Ustedes qué harían? ¿Es válido tener secretos financieros así en una relación o es una traición total? Los leo.

Yes…because white people have historically held the power to enforce prejudice in ways that can directly impact the well-being of Black people. That said, prejudice goes both ways: there are Black individuals who hold bias against white people simply because they are white, and that is just as wrong. I hope that answers your question.
