My understanding of the US war on Iran: 1. Strait closed - global energy costs up 40 percent +|-. 2. US bases in GCC damaged or severely damaged. 3. US munitions depleted. 4. Profits from new defense contracts directed to Presidents family. 5. US relations with Europe lowest since before WWII. 6. Nuclear material intact in Iran. 7. Israel alienated globally. 8. Adherence to US Constitution increasingly degraded - no war authorization from Congress. Am I missing something? What is the benefit to USA of all this?

Just as history has, for great reasons, been kind to Churchill and not so to Chamberlain, the history will be written on how we responded to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and our stewardship of NATO. Appeasement and moral blindness towards Russia will be ugly chapters.

Trumps biggest geopolitical blunder is Ukraine, by far. It’s genuinely baffling. Being friendly with Russia, and harsh on Ukraine, makes no sense strategically, financially and—most importantly—morally. It’s genuinely insane. The Vice President Vance literally said that he is PROUD of not supporting Ukraine. What a disgrace. Russia is not an ally to America. They stand opposed to the Western world in almost every way. If they could push a button and make America self destruct, they would. In Ukraine, you have a brave people who LOVED America. A people who would be powerful allies to the US on multiple levels. Throwing them under the bus at their time of need is a grave mistake. Ukraine will rise from this war against their aggressor as a formidable power. They will get there despite Americas lack of support. I fully support Trump in his actions against the Islamic regime, and his support for Israel. I will continue supporting and cheering him on in that regard, with alacrity. But his stance against Ukraine really is an embarrassment. A huge mistake. History will not look kindly on that aspect of his actions.

Our brave officers confronted a man they believed to be a terrorist, who refused to show his hands, who was violent, and who continued to pose a clear threat. Using only their training, courage and tasers, they detained him while he continued to try to attack and stab them. This took true courage.

This is outrageous. The guy is clearly incapacitated on the ground, having rightfully and thankfully been tased, yet two police officers are repeatedly kicking him in the head. Who do they think they are: members of the IDF?

Apparently today is the day that a lot of people are learning that the law absolutely allows police officers (and, indeed, members of the public) to kick people in the head when faced with a potentially lethal threat such as a person actively stabbing people.

@F1foundation1 There is absolutely a line: force may only be used when it’s proportionate and necessary. Based on long-standing statute and case law, and what is shown on the video, I think it’s extremely unlikely a court would find the officers cross the line.

ZELENSKYY: If JD Vance is proud that he’s not helping Ukraine, it means he’s helping Russians. Maybe Vice President believes that if United States stops helping Ukraine, it will bring peace closer. But that approach doesn’t work with Russia. So, I'm not agree with JD Vance. Ukraine is not enemy. Russia is enemy, and will always be an adversary of United States. That said, I'm certain that United States is great partner for Ukraine, and Ukrainians can also strengthen America. It’s a win-win situation. So why not choose to win?
