It is true that the body cotains IgA and also breast milk is rich in IgA. Did you consider that the question asked about the circulation (bloodstream), not the gut. Maternal IgA from breast milk stays mostly in the baby’s digestive tract and isn’t absorbed into the blood in significant amounts after the first few days of life. By 2 months, any maternal antibody still circulating in the blood is IgG, which crossed the placenta before birth. To put it in perspective let us look at the timeline below👇
At birth: Mostly maternal IgG from the placenta; very little own antibody production.
2-3 months: Infant starts producing significant IgM.
4-6 months: Own IgG production increases as maternal IgG declines (physiologic hypogammaglobulinemia).
6-12 months: IgA production gradually develops; breast milk IgA still provides support.
12-18 months: Infant can produce all major antibody classes (IgG, IgM, IgA, IgD, IgE), though responses are still immature.
5-7 years: Humoral immunity approaches adult levels.

Q//A 58-year-old patient presents to the dermatology clinic complaining of a strange, rapidly growing skin mass on the upper lip that developed within a very short period of only 4–6 weeks. The patient reports that the lesion began as a small papule and then enlarged suddenly, taking on a volcano-like appearance.
Clinical Examination:
On examination, there is a firm, raised, round nodule characterized by a central keratin-filled crater with smooth elevated margins. The lesion is generally painless but has caused significant concern because of its extremely rapid growth.
❓ Question for followers:
Based on the very rapid progression of the lesion and its characteristic appearance with a central keratin plug, what is the most likely diagnosis?
