Nevertheless, we can’t accept 20m people over a short period of time with over half of them riding in the cart. The other issue is voting. Once you have a driver’s license which many blue states issue, it’s very easy to cheat.

It includes US citizen kids who receive things like school lunches. Undocumented adults are actually legally barred from receiving most public benefits.

Here’s the latest on the snow: We’re expecting 6–8 inches on Sunday and another 1–3 inches Monday. Starting Saturday, we begin pre-snow operations — mounting plows, loading salt spreaders, and preparing our crews. New York City Department of Sanitation will move to 12-hour shifts Sunday, with more than 5,000 workers rotating day and night to keep our streets clear. Code Blue will be in effect. Our outreach teams will canvass 24/7 across all five boroughs to connect vulnerable New Yorkers to shelter and warm spaces. No one will be denied shelter. It is less exciting than saying "Mamdani killed 13 people," but the reality here is that Mamdani inherited a badly managed EMS and a dysfunctional 311 system wherein it is well-documented that responding (or non-responding) officers often improperly close out calls, and yes, Mamdani's own mixed messaging this week on involuntary commitments -- they're doing some, but they don't like to, telling people to call 311 and not 911! -- doesn't help.

When they teach about this shameful time in America’s history, this picture will be front and center. This is Liam Ramos. He’s a 5-year-old boy in Minnesota who was arrested by ICE and then used as bait to lure his family members into custody—even though they are legal asylum seekers. Liam and his family members have been shipped to an ICE detention center 1200 miles away from their home. His preschool teacher, Ella Sullivan, had this to say about Liam: “He’s a bright young student, and he’s so kind and loving, and his classmates miss him, and all I want is for him to be safe and back here.”
