The most dangerous thing that can happen to a people is not poverty. It is when poverty becomes normal to them. When bad roads become normal, we stop demanding better. When hospitals have no beds, we call it “Ghana.” When young people graduate and sit home for years, we blame them for not hustling enough. When floods destroy lives every year, we say “that is how Accra is.” When leaders fail, we defend them because they belong to our side. That is how a nation slowly loses its anger. And when people lose their anger against failure, failure becomes comfortable. Ghana does not need more excuses. Ghana needs citizens who are tired enough to stop clapping for mediocrity, defending incompetence, and accepting suffering as culture. A country does not change because people complain. A country changes when people finally refuse to be managed like they are powerless.

Exactly 11 years ago today, Accra was hit by the tragic June 3rd Disaster after hours of heavy rainfall. Crazy how it’s already 11 years

A must read for all girls. 💀
