FIR filed against 2 doctors in Salumber, Rajasthan: Woman alleges rape; pressure for religious conversion, burqa, and objectionable videos Dr Amir Metin, an Orthopaedic surgeon lived on the third floor of a private hospital where he worked. The woman used to go there to cook food since November 2024. Dr. Amir allegedly sexually assaulted her. Amir had access to her personal photos and videos, which he used to threaten her. She also alleged that Amir had threatened to kill her, which forced her to remain silent out of fear. The accused also objected to a tattoo of Lord Mahakal that the woman had on her body. Amir pressured her to wear a burqa and adopt Islam. The woman said that when she informed hospital owner Dr Nitin Shah about the incident, he too advised her to convert to Islam and marry Dr Amir. When she refused, both accused started threatening her. Dr Amir is a native of Shadipura, Bihar currently residing in Salumber After receiving no help from the hospital management, the woman went to the police and filed a report. Taking cognizance of the serious allegations, the Salumber police have registered a formal case against Dr. Amir Metin and Dr. Nitin Shah in Oct 2025.
