AS I POSTED on X earlier. I stopped buying silver at $60. I stopped buying Bitcoin at $6000. I stopped buying gold at $300. I have sold some Bitcoin and some gold. I hate selling because I hate paying capital gain taxes. Today…. I wait patiently for new bottoms for gold and Bitcoin then I may buy again. Image 1: Deposit BTC into @aave on Base (as cbBTC) Image 2: Borrow USDC against it Image 3: Deploy that USDC on @wasabi_protocol on Base for interest-rate arbitrage Right now, Aave’s USDC borrow incentive is paying 2.02% (in actual USDC - not pretend token APY…looking at you, @kamino) - which brings my real borrow rate down to 3.58% Wasabi’s 30-day yield is 12.82% (currently dipped but historically most always above 10%). Net spread: ≈ 9.24% APY. Essentially free money on idle BTC. Do whatever you want with that info. Just because I like this strategy doesn't mean it's financial advice or that you should do it to. Earlier today this account erroneously posted that MSTR had been included in the S&P 500. At the moment of typing this post, it is not true. I have managed this account personally and with great care for the community over almost 5 years, day and night, so it pains me to see such a bad mistake made. I am truly sorry. I recently made the decision to get some help running the social accounts and appointed my first hire. It was time to give someone else an opportunity and for me to work on new challenges for BA. The training for my new team member involved intense and ongoing training over months, with a level of detail that most people would find unbearable tbh. My first rule is to verify everything from primary sources. The second rule is to never sacrifice accuracy for speed. There are numerous troll accounts around sensitive moments for the market which spoof fake news for a laugh, hoping to suck people into reposting. Unfortunately on this occasion Bitcoin Archive has taken the bait. It’s embarrassing, I know. I understand the temptation and the Adrenalin rush of breaking big news, and it’s terrible that it’s happened on such a big moment. My team member is an intelligent, sincere, and diligent guy who fell for it. He will learn from it, I’m sure. He retains my full support and will remain in his job.
