💢 Hezbollah Seriously Wounds Commander of Brigade That Killed Hind Rajab — Highest-Ranking IDF Officer Hit Since October 2023
Colonel Meir Biderman, commander of the IDF’s 401st Armored Brigade, was seriously wounded Tuesday after a Hezbollah explosive drone penetrated a fortified building where he was operating between Dibl and Hadatha in south Lebanon, according to reporting from Israeli outlet Maariv cited by journalist Hala Jaber. The drone detonated inside despite protective fortifications, leaving Biderman with serious head injuries. A lieutenant colonel was also wounded.
The 401st Armored Brigade is the same unit whose “Vampire Empire” company is accused in a 120-page ICC complaint of deliberately targeting and killing six-year-old Hind Rajab, six members of her family, and two paramedics in Gaza City in January 2024 — a connection noted by Dyab Abou Jahjah, founder of the Hind Rajab Foundation, who also pointed to the brigade’s role in storming Al-Shifa Hospital and operations in Rafah.
Biderman is reportedly the highest-ranking Israeli officer injured by Hezbollah since October 8, 2023. In March, he declared on Israeli television that Hezbollah had been “severely weakened” and would “pay a heavy price.”

💢 Palestinian Prisoner Dies From Settler Gunshot Wound After Month in Israeli Custody
Qusai Ibrahim Ali Rayan, 29, a father of one daughter from the town of Qarawa Bani Hassan west of Salfit in the occupied West Bank, died Monday in Israel’s Beilinson Hospital from wounds sustained when an Israeli settler shot him approximately one month ago, according to the Prisoner’s Club and the Commission of Detainees Affairs.
Rayan was shot on April 15 in the Wadi Abbas area near Deir Istiya before being arrested by Israeli forces, who claimed he had attempted a stabbing attack. His lawyer repeatedly requested access and medical updates after being informed Rayan was unconscious and on a ventilator. He was shown via video conference only after sustained pressure.
The two Palestinian prisoner rights organizations said the stabbing allegation was false, and that Rayan was effectively killed in cold blood under fabricated pretenses. They called his death part of a broader pattern of field executions in the West Bank, describing settlers as having become “a central tool for killing Palestinians” operating with full military cover.

🚨New Testimonies Reveal Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya Stripped, Beaten, and Set Upon by Dogs in Israeli Detention
Three recently released Palestinian prisoners have provided harrowing testimony about the condition of Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, who has been held in Israeli detention since his arrest on December 27, 2024.
Released prisoner Ahmad Qaddas said he initially did not recognize Abu Safiya due to his physical deterioration. He described the doctor spending most of his time “sitting in a daze,” barely able to speak, while fellow prisoners could hear him screaming during beatings but were powerless to intervene — with those who tried to help facing tear gas raids.
A second witness, Hamza Abu Omeira, said Abu Safiya suffered constant vomiting, could not keep food down, and was denied medical care. He described seven consecutive days during which prisoners were shackled by both hands and feet. He said Abu Safiya was also reportedly forced to repeat degrading phrases about himself under torture.
A third released prisoner said he witnessed Abu Safiya being stripped, beaten after interrogation, and attacked by police dogs that “scratched him and knocked him to the ground.”
All three witnesses warned he faces imminent death if not released immediately. Abu Safiya is one of 737 medical workers arrested by Israel since the start of the war, according to Al Jazeera.
