I was pleased to join @Tony_Burke Minister for Home Affairs,Immigration and Citizenship last night at the Yummy Yummy Knafeh stall at Lakemba Ramdan Nights Market. We shared a laugh and enjoyed a beautiful Palestinian knafeh together. Lakemba Ramadan Nights is more than a food market , it’s a wonderful celebration of Australia’s diversity and community cohesion.

I was deeply moved, grateful, and humbled by the Australian National Imams Council (ANIC) Recognition Dinner last night, and by the speeches and kind words shared by my local elected colleagues, community leaders, friends, and supporters, marking twenty years of service as an elected Councillor of Canterbury-Bankstown City Council. This honour is not about one person, but about a collective effort that belongs to our whole local community. Thank you for your trust, friendship, and support over the years — I hope I have lived up to your very kind words.

Today, I joined with My friend Councillor Ludovico Fabiano from @WaverleyCouncil, along with @MayorDarcy,mayors and councillors from across New South Wales, to pay our respects to the victims of the Bondi terror attack. Together, we conveyed a message of peace, humanity, and support to the people of Bondi and Waverley Council during this time of grief.@LGNSW
