We have allowed ourselves to be grouped into factions defined by passion, and not the law. We embrace the expediency of the despot because we lack the patience of due process. And we have sacrificed everything in the name of a cult of personality built around a clinically insane con man.

President Trump, again tonight, demonstrates that he considers himself above the law, above the U.S. Constitution, and is a moral authority unto himself. He is a monarch in terms of the use of military power. What he says below is straight up illegal and a war crime. It is not a war in the historical sense, it is one man’s obsession with killing his opponent, regardless of whether military or civilian. In his blind lust for killing Iranians and destroying the civilian infrastructure, he will steel their resolve against us, making it less and less likely they will agree to a negotiated settlement to end the war, *increasing* the likelihood that even more American service members are killed in combat. If he commits the foolish decision to order ground action inside Iranian territory, he will be sending potentially huge numbers of Americans to unnecessary deaths. As a four time combat deployer, it grieves me more than I can say to watch this Administration so callously demean the lives of our finest, in selfish lust for military glory. Ultimately, he will being only suffering and shame on our entire country.

I thought Paula White’s comments were off the rails, but it turns out Pastor Franklin Graham is even worse: he is a fraud posing as a Christian minister, while literally standing for the opposite of what the prince of peace, Jesus Christ, stood for and taught. To compare the biblical story of Esther to current events, is a gross bastardization of scripture, and not related to current events in Iran. Contrary to this despicable prayer, it was the United States and Israel that launched a war of aggression, unprovoked, creating the fiction of an imminent threat, which evidence clearly confirms did not exist, and is now killing Iranian people, in increasingly larger numbers. To then seek the support of the Almighty to continue this ungodly and unholy operation, is a shame and humiliation for genuine Christians in this country, that stand firmly for the truth of the gospel, and the hope for justice and peace in the world. Franklin Graham celebrates unjust war, violence, and death. God will not answer his prayers as he imagines…

This is not a military conflict. The Iran conflict is a family feud, a religious war. This is Ishmael versus Isaac, it has been going on for 4000 years. When the US administration says "there are no more targets left" and yet the culture/tribe is still in place, and the world economy is being medivac-ed to the emergency room, it signals the administration did not understand the situation they were getting themselves into. The USA nor Europe will not be able to manage it or control it. The best course is to get out of the way and let the two siblings slug it out. The situation is spelled out for us in Genesis.
